I've tried Yi in the jungle a couple of times now and have found him to be.... Underwhelming.

Did they nerf the Aspd boost of his ult at level 1? I can't remember what it was before the rework.

Yes, it's lower than it was previously, but ult lasts longer.

I think its lower at level 1 and higher at level 3?

Also you don't need to activate the ult to have resets.

The duration extension on kill/assist is also rather nice comparatively, there isn't necessarily a need to activate it again in a fight.

The only way I see pure damage junglers to be viable is if you get the control required from other lanes which normally means something like Ashe/Zyra/Varus etc. Dunno he just seems rather shit lol. AP Yi was pretty much the only way to play him and with that gone he seems useless.

I think Tanky AD Yi with lots of attack speed is going to be completely fine, because Wuju gives so much true damage that if you get a reset, you're putting out inane amounts of true damage.

I don't see why he still can't be played mid in a similar role to Zed, only instead of turning into splitpush and 1v1 anyone, he becomes splitpush and join a teamfight late for resets.

Eeeh... I mean I see your point, but then you're kind of playing an Irelia with worse healing (you need to stop for it and can be interrupted) and no tenacity.

This is my thought as well. AD assassins who can clear will almost always have a place mid, especially those who can roam to gank/counter gank.

Irelia doesn't get resets on her true damage skill. Also Yi gets a pretty massive attack speed steroid from his ult.

I'll have to fiddle around with it a bit, because they changed his attack speed. But I'm pretty sure its workable.

I wonder if Yi's bonus true damage will crit, it probably won't though, in which case it's almost not worth activating late game with an IE + PD.

true damage is better than a crit vs 100 effective armour + targets (without IE)

probably 150~ otherwise

If you get a reset and you don't reactivate it immediately, you get the % bonus AD and still do the true damage until that wears off. And apparently the % bonus AD doesn't wear off until the true damage portion is over and on cooldown anyways.
