I feel like of that group Ziggs, TF and Lux especially are such safe farmers that they don't really have hard counters. Double especially for Lux, wtf matchup are you scared to get as Lux? I really like to play champs like Ahri, Ziggs, TF, Lux, or Nid, and the problem is that usually when I get to play mid, I'm near the top in the pick order. I'll try to get people to trade with me, but a lot of the time people either don't have the champ I want to play (or i dont have the one they want) or they don't say anything. So at this point, should I just choose what I'm good with and hope the other guy either doesn't pick a complete counterpick or sucks at the counter? Or just choose a different role? It's really annoying to me how much a game is ruined by someone picking LeBlanc or Fizz when I want to play TF, for example. Any tips? I play a lot of TF mid so hopefully I can give you some useful advice here. For TF specifically if some1 counter picks you with something like fizz the most important thing to do is survive without dying and gain exp. The enemy's mindset is to all-in you and kill you as many time as possible so you can't roam. What I usually do is take all the farm I can without putting myself at risk; this will take practice but with long range champs such as TF/Lux you should be able to clear most of the wave with safety (don't worry if you fall behind in cs early). Once you hit 6 try to roam as much as possible even when your ult isn't up. What I like to do is rush boots 2 and lich bane ASAP (depending on your confidence/experience with the lane you might have to take barrier and possibly go mercs) then ward both sides and run to other lanes. The main goal is to not stay in lane since you'll get dumped on but rather to just long range clear with q and leave. Even by just walking towards another lane or out of vision puts pressure on the map and with proper wards hopefully you can see if you are being followed and avoid having to 1v1. If the game is even avoid teamfights as much as possible before completing zhonya's and just force skirmishes around the map with your ult/roam. Against Leblanc you'll pretty much have to go 2x doran into negatron or you'll be forced out of lane instantly and there is almost no counterplay due to her mobility and your lack of it.

I think someone explained somewhere on reddit that she's worse from levels 7-10 but better early (cause of less mana issues) and late. Don't remember exactly what it was, sorry. I would say my problem is more of the assassins outroaming me rather than them killing me in lane. I'll play super safe and shit, but when I do that, they'll leave lane after pushing to my tower and gank somewhere else.

If you can farm but can't really damage your opponent as mid, how do you prevent them from roaming? There are matchups where following the roamer is incredibly dangerous because they can turn around and just kill you if they know you're chasing them. You can't know exactly where they're going 100% of the time. You can't be in a good position to follow them 100% of the time. I feel like I have games where every time my opposing mid laner roams I call it and say where they're going, and top/bot still gets killed by the gank, and I just don't know what I could have done differently.

I don't want to go follow the fucker, because Idk if he'll be waiting in river bush, or tri or something and then just destroy me and snowball from there. But then teammates complain if I don't follow and they die. It's a lose-lose situation ![]()

Ping your dude when he runs off your lane; and shove the living shit out of your lane. Make sure he loses a wave or 2 of xp and gold. And his gank will be meaningless.

Zed is more difficult since he uses energy and also has great wave clear. You have a small window to harass him if he uses all his energy to wave clear but other than that you'll just have to hope your team responds to your pings and mia's.

Actually understanding a game is like being the only person who can see at a lightbulb convention. It occurred to me that as I've progressed as a player, the thing that made me improve most was realizing it really wasn't everyone else's mistakes that won or lost the game, it was a collection of my own errors embedded in other people's mistakes (sometimes caused by poor judgement in light of their mistakes). So I stopped whining, cleaned up my game, and actually got better. Now I can recognize really subtle stuff that loses games all the time when someone makes a small but game changing mistake. And then I cry myself to sleep when I realize my mechanical skill/patience is nearing its limit and plat seems so close but soooo far away. >_> I probably should just move toward ranked 5's and save myself the headache. But I'm returning to school in the fall, so meh. On July 15 2013 16:10 Ketara wrote: This is something that I'm having difficulty with as Lux recently. Ward diligently, and follow them, but not too closely. Ping your team that they're (possibly) coming, then when they arrive and blow all their cooldowns on your (hopefully) alert allies, you're in prime position to lay the smack down. It's hard to judge sometime, but that's the goal anyways. Also takes a bit of a 6th sense. If you really think they're setting up a trap, use your e on bushes. Last resort, just push as hard as you can. But you can't really rely upon your teammates to cope with every gank. If you tell them "x is may be coming" often enough and he never comes, they're probably going to stop listening to you and die as soon as the enemy actually does show up. And if he shows up in the same lane repeatedly, he's probably going to get a kill eventually (or cause enough problems to put that lane behind). Also, if you guess incorrectly on where he is going, you're now on the opposite side of the map and can probably make a play there. So guessing is often better than just staying put.

If you warn (And i mean, warn, not 2 seconds prior.) your team and they get assfudged anyway its not your fault, especially if after 1-2 of these roams you take mid turret.

Unless you think NA teams are good enough as it is that they deserve 3 spots to Koreas 2. Plus it could be a Korean team that NA fans could actually root for. Just give them a shitty show to follow them around, and then you find out they play 18 hours a day and the show fails miserably but then as a PR stunt they just throw in strippers and many people watch them for being th team that plays in NYC in a penthouse and don't pay attention to strippers as they crush nerd's hopes and dreams of being progamers. Might be a run-on sentence but I'm not sure. Azn would find irony of that being said with me being quoted. Actually fuck it, I do too. hahaha obv we had our little banter during last years finals, but I fully support this too haha although as it stands WE & iG might not even come to worlds omg ( no pun intended)
