New spirit visage is way too strong for a measly increase in price. Probably the best individual MR item for a non ADC. I don't see them keeping it like that. The CDR is too valuable to also give a ton of HP and MR.
The new banshees is a nice chance since it incentivizes more non-mana champs to buy it now since it (probably) won't need a catalyst build up. 90 hp over 10 s when hit by any champ is pretty solid for defending towers from poke.
I like the Spellbreaker item since it seems to be a more defense-oriented build path for hexdrinker. It seems like a good top lane item for tanks if you don't want/need mercs for laning phase and need another option for tenacity. Although the 20% crit chance is completely random to throw onto it.
ADCs will like the new Randuins if it goes through.

Man, no one builds Frozen Heart. It might be because, yknow, Randuin's is a superior choice in about 90% of situations. Having both go through the Warden's Mail build path doesn't work.

Well...Lee Sin was kinda in the same place and they nerfed him too. I want Riot to buff all champions to pre-nerf Lee Sin/Jayce level, but that's not Riot's balancing philosophy and that's fine.

Compared to other champions, Jayce was heads and shoulders above them. A nerf was a long time coming.

Well, Jayce was a purple ban, blue side leaving him open type of deal, just like Nunu. He had the strongest lvl1 in the game, which I am not sure is true still. He was the 2nd best mid and lategame poke champ and the best (Nidalee) is terrible at everything else. He could both mid and long lane, was one of the best laners both 1v1 and 1v2. Teamfights against Jayce were super scary too because his team could follow up to almost anything thanks to his E. He destroyed tanks alongside his AD carry because he applied 5 BC stacks just with his ranged W.
It's fine when champion is good at everything, but you have a problem when he is THE VERY BEST at everything.

buffing everything to lee sin/jayce level doesn't even make sense. They weren't strong at one particular thing, they were the best at everything, if you buff everyone else to their level nothing happens.

I mean it does, in that you can still have powerful-but-lopsided kits. It's just that Riot tends not to do that because their typical MO is buffing a champ's weaknesses and nerfing a champ's strengths, which is why when champs are overtuned, they're too good at everything.

For example, Lee Sin didn't have the be the all-rounder he is/was if Riot didn't choose to hotfix him by trivializing his energy management by buffing his passive's energy restore, and his ratios. They could have easily used the same kit to create a lopsided champ with high base damage values, mobility, and combo potential but limited by prohibitive energy regeneration and weak ratios.

Lucian's visuals, voice, and animations are pretty slick. Still a shame about the kit.

His ult looks less good that I thought. It's a cool idea, but hitting things with it looks to be a complete pain in the ass.

i wouldn't call jayce best at everything. His poke is pretty strong (dmg wise nidalee has best poke, but it's too easy to dodge to call it best poke) but looking at his other abilities, they are just so-so. i mean w isn't really used that often apart from stacking tear, knockback is ok in the early phase. The point is, apart from q+e combo, all his other spells start to get useless late game. Plus there is also that weakness of being a glass cannon and bad attack range. So it's really frustrating to see such a hard nerf to that combo. I'm sure no one is gonna bother using q alone so that q movement increase is kinda redundant.

^^ what? the reason why Jayce 1v1s AD carries in the lategame all the time is because of his insane burst from range W into melee Q+E. All of the abilities apart from melee E still remain just as useful as they were in the midgame. Not like it matters, given that his E and Q already gives him one of the best kits in the game.
