Common starting items/masteries that are viable/good now too I suppose. Don't need a huge list, just the major/important ones and I'll be in your debt TL LoL'ers.
all jungle camps spawn at 1:55

From bot games I feel like Aatrox is viable but a horrible trader. Losing life is dumb. Might be a decent jungler.

It's like normal Ezreal except you play like a bitch in the back, have low dps, and no one on your team can engage or get caught unless your team is ahead or will be when entering the fight due to said low dps.

Just saw St.V interview at MLG anaheim by Rachel; Who's Curse new analyst?

I played a few jungle games on aatrox and he felt good, clears well, good ganks.
He doesn't really fit current meta though, being pretty squishy and damaging. His passive is silly good.

Jungle * All jungle monsters spawn at 1:55 now * Buff monsters' EXP increased * Generally health, gold and experience were moved off the small monsters onto the big monsters
Minions Caster minion's attack damage slightly reduced
Items * Malady removed * Wit's End now steals MR instead of just granting MR * Nashor's Tooth now has magic damage on hit based on your AP * Doran's Shield and Doran's Ring cost less, stats lowered to compensate (now can start shield+pot or ring+ward/2pots) * Boots cost lowered (now can start boots+4pots or boots+ward+2pots) * Madred's and Wriggle's loses RNG, now does a constant amount of magic damage on hit to jungle mosnters * Spirit of the Ancient Golem now uses Kindlegem and gives CDR instead of armor * A series of Spirit of the Elder Lizard nerfs * Red Elixir costs 350 now * Blade of the Ruined king now uses daggers in recipe, gives attack speed

I've been playing a lot of aatrox recently and I feel like he's just a UP trynd.

Thanks for the lists. Pretty much what I was looking for since it'll take me ages to figure out who is viable and why/not.

iG needs some serious PR training. Misaya outspoke the hell out of PDD.

There were no "high value" APs outside his comfort zone, and his 3 best champs were the three most important mid champs (Anivia, Orianna, Karthus). More than anything, this is luck.
He's especially lucky seeing as Diana became huge across the world about a week later.
I'd argue that its quite possible that Toyz might have been good at those champs because they were the ones he needed to be good at.

I feel like TPA did pretty well the first part of S3 though. Toyz has looked pretty decent on a bunch of different champs on stream and everything.

Altho all of tpa with the exception of their bot lane really failed to adapt to the meta

He is basically what I think Riot wants/thinks trynd is: Oustadning when ahead, worthless when behind. He is basically (IMO) what everyone who was skeptical of the character design thought he would be, except slightly on the weak side instead of strong.
He is basically a Lifesteal/Autoattack based manaless champ whos kit is mostly steroids and a GA passive.
Edit:

We need to be honest though that the whole TPA team was a Right team/Right Time scenario. They were not better than M5 or Frost. DiamondProx most of M5 has given extensive, illuminating, interviews about how TPA basically came in as unknowns, exploited a hole in the meta that was open for a short span, and at a 1 weekend event had enough of a surprise factor to not be countered.

The champs don't fit his style.

I don't really think so. TPA beat M5 pretty comprehensively just in lane. They usually went into midgame with a decent lead, where they could have played just old fashioned shove and fight, but instead they let Stanley who had a pretty sizeable lead on Nidalee several games splitpush.
