Nocturne is pretty straight forward, level Q level 1 and don't take anything at 2. Skill E if nothing is happening, W if you get invaded and need to run away. Take 1 point in everything by 3.

You have very limited capability of anything complex at this point. Trying to get this guy to plant a mine, step on a certain area of it, and then reactivating it to escape is just not feasible when he's thinking ASDKLFH THIS GUY JUMPED ON ME. o.O My very first LoL game straight off tutorial I went 17-2 as Sivir, I was solo mid and had enemy Gragas just basically walk into me, autoattacking minions, and dying over and over again, remember that clear as a day. Then I just stomped with Kassadin who was free until like 10, having like 5:1 average K/D. Everyone was godawful. Maybe it's different than it was in 2010 but I do remember how it was to be new very well <.< I didn't really pay any attention to enemy items or summoners apart from heal baits etc. It was just running around killing everything. My new theory is that I play far better when I'm really hungry than when I'm not. Yeah Sivir. Who you can literally attack move and do well. I played Ashe and did just as well. And Kass is just spam everything into the same area where another guy is. What if you had tried to play Viktor or Ziggs your first game? No idea, those didn't exist and I've never played Ziggs. As Kassadin I did do some pretty elaborate plays on like my second day of LoL though, just because you start a new game doesn't mean you need to go fullretard and not use common sense. I think if you practice properly you can get on a decent enough level in like a week in any game
I'm glad this forum is full of really awesome guys who think some of the most complex mid champs in the game are simple to play, but seriously if you're trying to recommend someone to learn mid with there are objectively simpler and harder champs to start out with.

I don't think farming really is that important if you're a beginner anyway, you can do so much better if you just concentrate on killing the enemies who never ward and always overextend. My new theory is that I play far better when I'm really hungry than when I'm not.(protip, try it)
Ahh yes, the "1st" game. I'm fairly sure I was Malz and got called a noob for taking smite, but was in a 2v1 lane and they kept trying to kill me under tower, and that didn't work well.
Also, Malz isn't a bad mid that is easy to learn.

Okay guys, call me crazy but I bet Olaf is going to be buffed soon.
"Why ticklishmusic," you say, "you must be crazy! Riot hates Olaf!"
Well, the reasoning is because he' from the Freljord. You see, first they revamped half the lore in the game (and added ARAM) just to hype us Lissandra. Then they buffed Sejuani into OPness. Then they gave Nunu some buffs. Then they made Ashe... better-ish. Clearly, Olaf is the next Freljordian (or Freljordese?) to get some love.

I don't recall my first game specifically, but I remember having no idea what the game was about. It was my first foray into the MOBA genre, and I remember I played a lot of Kass/Shaco, but exclusively played TT until I was like lvl 12.
Summoner's Rift blew my mind (Winter map was available, and I fell in love with it). I had no idea what this mysterious jungle was, and I remember trying Zilean for the first time, having no idea what to do on this strange new map, and feeding my ass off.
I was awful when I first started, and if someone asked me to play a champ that relied on skill shots, I would have probably quit for good.

First game was on Ryze and I was on voicechat with bros. Still had no clue what was going on and pretty sure I either fed or did nothing all game. It's all really fuzzy though.

I remember old Ryze. But I also had no one directing me on what to do.
My brother introduced me to the game, but he stopped playing shortly after. I was completely on my own to figure stuff out.
Also, that wasn't the point of my little anecdote lol.

First champ I ever played was Morgana. Played her vs bots with a friend (we both had DotA experience), was a bunch of fun. Subsequently moved on to Teemo in normals, still a spawn of Satan today.
|
I went 39-2 on I think my first or second game with MF (I think I still have the screenshot somewhere).....but I also remember trying to play ezreal and completely failing and trashing the champ because it was too hard to hit skillshots while trying to do other stuff. Then once you get past like extreme nub level Ad carries become really shitty because everyone with a bruiser just jumps on you and destroys you because you are bad at kiting and positioning and also bad enough at CSing to not take advantage of multiplicative scaling with crit. I played a ton of Veigar and Kass and Ryze and did well because everyone walks into your stun ring even if you miss it up until like gold, and teleport+spam QE is easy and nobody knows how to punish kass or Ryze early.

Cho is actually really easy to mid with, and also really fun to play. All of my friends who I get into LoL, I recommend Cho Gath for sure. There's a lot of things you don't understand when you're low, but you can understand walking around like you're Godzilla.

First Champ I played was Miss Fortune. I proceeded to do badly with her against bots. My friend introduced me to the game he was already level 17 when I started playing.

I played only cho till lvl 20 excluding first game(jax) :D.
