The difference is really small. Most times it doesn't even matter.Personally I run ad because I don't have the space for an arpen page.

edit:Also oneshotting ranged creeps too fun.So that's a point for ad >.>.

More or less. :p

AD is better for last hitting (but you are Draven) and the very early levels, while ArPen technically scales better, and works better with champions that have high base spell damages (Draven's passive, for instance) and get LW.

Yes I ping wards as a support. I meant when I'm playing adc and ping the ward...my support thinks I want a ward there.

The difference between ping -> "ward" and ping -> "warded" is huge. I had no idea until I started typing "warded" every time and jungler replies "k"

Conversely, whenever I play a support with a hard CC and I have full mana, I usually just toss one out to mess with the enemy adc's lasthitting -- but then my adc is always like ALRIGHT CC! TIME TO DIVE

Take it as a sign that the world is telling you to stop playing Taric >:o

So he should try it with Leona instead?

Hi there, forgot I signed up with this website. Finally caught up with the General Discussion after a series of days, figured I'd pop in and say something. I'm a friend of onlywonderboy (if that counts for anything; the only community things I've learned through this thread so far are that Costcos are a heaven-sent gift and that you all really enjoy Pokemon) and decided to join this forum on his recommendation! I'm a low-Silver scrub who has spent most of his summer trying to battle out of Silver into Gold, with moderate success. Hoping to learn a thing or two from you guys.

I've actually been keeping a journal with my ranked games and notes in it, in an attempt to better myself, and I think it's working. I store my game data, immediate impressions, and advice to myself in it after games, with intent to look back over notes in downtime. Has anyone tried something similar, to their success? I know watching replays are a popular way to improve, but I don't think my crappy HP laptop and inconsistent home internet would allow gaming and recording at the same time very well.

I'm a little late to respond to this as well, but GUESS WHERE I WAS YESTERDAY

So, I've got a question aimed at higher division AD carry mains. Ashe as a pick in response to a blue Ez. I saw the Gambit vs ATN game and was trying to think about it from a theoretical perspective. Ignoring other stuff like teammates etc (which obviously are a big factor), is Ashe a good pick in response to Blue build Ez. Ashe has a notoriously weak early - mid (ignoring her decent level 1), while a blue build Ez also has a midgame lull until muramana is done. So, in lane pre 6 is ashe is Ez too strong for her to come out even? Going in to midgame pre-muramana is Ez still weak enough that an ashe could be on even footing? And going into mid late does ashe's volley spam and ultimate present a good response to Blue ez's style of play?

One of the difference here between ashe and some hyper carry (e.g. trist, kog, vayne) is the kiting she offers. The kiting seemed to me like it serves as an interesting response to ez's strong kiting / slowing... making it difficult or riskier for Ez to keep an enemy team perma-slowed while the enemy team retreats.

TLDR: Ashe vs Ez in lane? How is ashe's powerlevel midgame compared to pre-muramana ez? and theoretically does ashe's ability to long range aoe slow serve as a strong hinderance to late-game blue buff ez's team-fighting style?

If you want to play ashe just play ashe. You can do decently in lane it depends a lot on supports though(even more than usual because you both aren't that strong early). If you just pick a high damage carry very often you just kill their team and it doesn't even matter if you can catch their ez.

Personally I'd go varus instead since he is very similar but he actually does damage.

I'm not asking for me. I'm trying to get a higher level theoretical discussion going. I'm talking about LCS level play, not for myself.

Specifically interested in the TLDR points that I mentioned. ashe vs ez in lane, if ashe can keep up in midgame with ez's pre muramana lull, and how ashes aoe slows affect lategame teamfight ez's playstyle.

I feel the ashe pick was more for slowing the team to set up his own team than a direct response to ezreal. The volley spam also slows down hecarim and shen, with Ashe arrow being a good tool to pick someone off, making it a 4v5 with a blue ez that doesn't really do too much damage.

Ashe Qs also trigger tear making her muramana come up very quickly as well.

If I wanted to discuss it in reference to the game, I would've posted in the EU LCS thread. Just sayin'.

Also, not talking about Genja's build with muramana. Just talkin' bout ashe vs ez theoretically.

But I'm pretty sure the answer to why ashe was picked in lane is as simple as he said : he just wanted to pick it. Genja responded to an interview about picking ashe and basically said that : pick the hero you wanna play if you can.
Genja like Ashe, his team agreed with him picking Ashe, he picked Ashe.

ashe was a response to ez in that ashe could keep up with another carry that rushes tear, whereas against say, a draven, manamura ashe is quite risky

Has the level of reading comprehension gone down on TL recently? I'm not interested in why Genja picked ashe. If you guys want to discuss that, the EU LCS thread is probably the place to do it.

My specific questions are regarding ashe and ez, and the interaction between the two... accordingly it didn't feel right to post in one or both of the specific champion threads.

Ez is the type of champ that is an extremely easy match up if you are good at dodging skillshots or the enemy is bad at hitting them, which has the habit of backfiring on you horribily when you face an actual good ez because his damage output is actually significant in lane if he lands his stuff. In terms of autos, ashe has both volley which is easier to hit that ez q, and the auto range advantage, so it is quite literally a skill matchup, since the poke war can easily go either way.

Ashe won't do anything to stop blue Ez kiting, however, considering she kites the other team, and unless she puts herself in insane danger by being next to the enemy ad, she's not going to get to him either. She can hit the arrow to cc lock for followup by your team, but it's also a fairly slow moving skillshot, meaning it's relatively easy to blink out of for ez.

The dynamic that I'm envisaging is the point where a fight turn from 'Blue Ez defensively kiting -> Enemies chasing Ez' to 'Enemies run from Ez -> Blue Ez chases enemies'. At such a point it seems that Ashe offers an excellent response, and diminishes the effectiveness of Blue Ez significantly, considered that Blue Ez relies on a drawn out fight, culminating in him chasing down an enemy team, to compensate for his lack of straight up damage. Ashe seems like an effective way to negate a significant portion of Blue Ez's utility, rendering the build ultimately lacklustre given that it already sacrifices damage in favor of utility. That being said, I might be missing something in their late game interaction.

You bastards who came over here from Reddit.
WHAT MANNER OF WITCHCRAFT HAVE YOU BROUGHT WITH YOU

Seriously though, as 'sell-out-y' as it appears, decent enough way for TL to make money. Pretty transparent about it too which is nice. I'm kind of interested to see what the 'gold posts' if any crop up in this subforum will be.
