Even with the anti-Freljord bend it can still be Udyr. The skin, if it's Udyr, focuses on the animals evoked by his stances. Bear, Tiger, Turtle, and Phoenix. None of these are Frejlord spirits, they are Ionian. Udyr did not learn to properly summon spirits until he was under Lee Sin's tutelage in Ionia.

The not-freljord thing just means it isn't ice udyr. Still gonna be a udyr skin. 1-1 odds of udyr vs everyone else sounds +EV to me.

Yea I mean, I'm still 90% sure the skin is for Udyr. Spirit Summoner Udyr has been in the works for ages now. I just want it to be Spirit Summoner Udyr so I can go troll normals with all the spirit stone items and the skin and just say I'm roleplaying.

judging by the actual quote and the timing of the quote, I think just the fact that it was not release in the Fjorlord patch is possibly all he meant
Udyr fits all other clues far too well.

Towerdive more (or whatever situations makes you tank a ton of shit and still walk out alive like nothing happened, but I find towerdives to be pretty enjoyable amongst those).
Also Ashe is from Freljord, Queen Ashe is related to Freljord, Woad Ashe isn't related to Freljord.
Regarding NA's work ethic, I've got to admit I was pretty surprised to see how much TOO/Qtpie/etc. stream currently considering the NA super week is only 3 days away.

Plus there's no doubt that the Ultimate Skin has been in production long before the Udyr ret-con happened and probably before the Freljord patch was even realized. No matter what champion it's for there's no way it would be related to the Freljord lore or aesthetic. I think people are reading too much into the comment - it was made a month ago during the Freljord AMA and we have two clues from this week pointing directly to Udyr.

Yeah I'd love to see that as well.
Udyr fits the pattern better. He was just recently reworked/buffed, everything except the Frejlord thing fits him. Mordekaiser hasn't been buffed for the last .... god knows how long.

I'm normally not a big fan of resourseless champions but I feel like if they are going to exist Udyr should be one. All of his abilities (with the exception to E's Dash) are just modifications to auto attacks, and his passive rewards spamming stance swaps. All of the compelling reasons for Udyr to HAVE mana died when they removed mana restoration from Turtle stance imo, they should just go to cd based, and see how it plays out for a couple months.
p.s. If they nerf Jayce before they nerf Muramana I don't even..

I just don't feel like stacking your passive costing ~50% of your mana is a compelling mechanic either.

Isn't that all more compelling reason to give Udyr mana costs? To limit the strength of his abilities, all while giving it the "spammy" feel. If you make it CD based, there will be too long of CD's for him to have that feel he currently has. Unless you're talking about removing his mana costs, while keeping his CD, then he'd just be stupid op'd.

thats the whole point of it being a short duration stacking channeled passive
mana becomes mostly irrelevant later anyway so why would you make a champion with potentially absuive early game skillset a potential to abuse them
manaless turtle spam in lane would be ridiculous

I'm probly wrong it was just a thought. I think the only time I played udyr since week 1 of the balance changes was in aram, (which the fact I was able to oom with the mana on that map suprised me) I mostly blamed it on them removing mana from W but idk, I can't imagine him being a good pick w/o having an energy mid atm, but mabye my imagination is limited.
