Long story short, this person at first tries to extort me for $150 to get my own account back because that's apparently how much my account costs in terms of skins but finally decides to return my account to me because he was in a good mood and he was utterly surprised at why I wasn't raging at him (spent the hour talking to him about why he did this, was this a targeted decision, etc.) Only loss was the 5200 RP of him sending my account to EUW and me having to ship it back to NA. npnp
What I get away from this ordeal is that being patient with people pays off and Riot seriously needs to update their password recovery system, it's pretty atrocious for the popularity and size of something like League.
Moving on to a more relevant topic. I, NeoIllusions, am a scumbag Rumble player. He was definitely one of my go to champions for Top Lane. That said, I'll need to playtest Rumble myself today but I have a strong feeling that he's rather gutted. I think the Flamespitter change I could have lived with but holy shit that Harpoon nerf hurts. Not simply on a harassment level but the fact that Rumble usually has to use Harpoons to last hit against a severe lane bully.
Assuming I will eventually retire Rumble because of this patch (because I subscribe to Slayer91's sentiments of practicing a small pool of champions to actually get better with them), I'm considering picking up Zac instead because he fits a similar niche. He functions as a AP/Tanky champion with a solid form of initiation.
Edit: All this Nami talk is a little amusing. We were talking about Nami yesterday in staff chat and I drew parallels between her and early release Lulu. Obviously after many, many months of Lulu, there's no arguing that Glitterlance max is the way to go. But do you remember that initially people tried to max E first and thought, "pff, Lulu's just a shitty version of Janna".
So yeah, don't tunnel vision when it comes to Supports. They don't all fit the same roles and don't try to cookie-cutter them into a playstyle that doesn't suit them. That said, I still strongly stand by Q max Nami is the proper way to build her. Vastly superior to W max or E max.Have you figured out how he got your password in the first place? If you don't address the root problem the vulnerability might still be there. Keylogger? Compromised email? Shared pw with some other compromised service? Told a "friend" once? Just too easy to guess pw? EDIT: Social-engineered Riot support? I wasn't compromised, I scan everything regularly and immediately last night when I lost control of my account. I trust my friends. Not to bad mouth Riot but the person said I was targeted at random because my account was a beta account and one of the first 1500. He didn't seems to know who I was or that I work for Riot when I tried to insinuate it.
Not to sound like a noob, but you work for Riot?!?! Am I the only person on this forum that didnt know that lol

While it doesn't really do much since there's not any enforcement, at least it gives us a foundation for our arguments when you've got some prick insisting on their favorite role as last pick. I'm mostly heartened by Riot recognizing problems with Champion Select and trying to address them.

Wait hasn't it been well known that higher pick gets to decide what to play?I have thought it was like that ever since I started ranked in s1 lol.

nah, most people switch between call/pick as a matter of convenience
high pick? pick order low pick? call order

Some people always think that the first one to shout gets it. And no this wont stop them from doing so.

Yeah, when they first introduced the harpoon nerf but danger zone buff it was even in the danger zone, but a nerf outside of it. So it hurt hurt last hitting and being able to 1vs2, but wouldn't have been too big of a deal to SoloQ. Removing the danger zone increase just hurts the spell a lot. One of the more satisfying moments as a Rumble is hitting some dangerzone harpoons for tons of damage. What shocks me the most everytime I look at the harpoons is the 90% slow if you hit both on the same target at level 5. o_o

Perception is everything. If Annie was released today she'd have a ~60% winrate because players wouldn't expect her level 6 burst, didn't see her passive buff, and wouldn't know to be wary of the range of flash tibbers.
Then Riot would knee jerk nerf her and everyone would figure her out anyway and she'd get slated for a remake as a viable mid and support.

In season 1 I encountered so many people who would rage that it was call order and then troll. Season 2 it was slightly better. Season 3 almost no one whines about pick order anymore.

agreed, from my experience ever since season 3 there's maybe 1 guy in 30-40 games who plays the "I CALLED FIRST" game, usually it's just everyone picking silently now lol
