Janna will never be able to use Q and hit Blitz mid-hook unless she actually casts before him. Even getting it before the follow-up E is pretty tight, I don't see how she'd be able to fight against Blitz at all since she has no poke and 475 aa range so she can't even auto harass unless he misses a hook and exposes himself. She doesn't have the damage to punish him burning W just to force her Q/W either, and he can probably still attempt a grab if he positions himself corrrectly once those are used.

Janna loses to poke lanes imo. Sona is her worst nightmare, and I could see Nami even giving her some trouble. Can't disengage a skill shot like Nami q.

She is pretty good if she can land qs well enough. Really good against the hard engage supports like Taric/Leona as mentioned.

Once you get your waves pushing it's possible to just fight them if blitz pulls your ADC as long as you position correctly to hit both with a tornado. A blitz pulling your ADC into a fight where you have minion advantage isn't all that scary since you have a shield and a crapton of cc yourself.

the way i play blitz vs janna is to just try and position myself in a way so me, blitz and the enemy AD are in a line. that way if blitz lands a hook i can tornado everyone. then you just shield your ad and kite back.

blitz hook costs a huge amount of mana now too, so once he wastes his hooks you're pretty ok and can abuse really hard. just watch his mana carefully.

thresh, imo is just a champ that you don't want the enemy team to have.

Sona isn't that strong against janna depending on how good your shield timing is. The thing about janna though is she does far less damage than every other support, and her ult can backfire sometimes, while most supporst have always useful potentially gamechanging ults.

She still has a fuckload of cc though and great utility in general

I would say more forgotten than underpowered.

Isn't that super hard is Blitz decides to use the bushes to deny vision/zone though? How do you stop him from bum rushing your lane bush?

Most of the time the correct answer is to just beat him up if he tries to overextend like that. Not to mention that, again, minions should be always going the other way against a blitz lane, especially if you're playing as Janna you can just tornado the wave at level 1 once and then explorer ward and be pretty much safe against the blitz camping your side nonsense for the rest of the laning phase.

Given the current "MVP" voting in LPL, it's quite possible that Uzi will get the AD spot over Weixiao (admittedly this is partly because Uzi's teammates are less stellar while Misaya and Clearlove have been stealing the show on WE).

The one thing I find regrettable about this "serious" all-star format is that we don't get to see fun mixed-region all-star games. Meaning we don't get the killer combination of Chinese AD + Korean support.

If Riot ever does a showmatch like that All-Stars vs Rioters match from last year, they need to make it happen.

So I got curious about Varus ult because it was weird how disproportionately high the miss rate on that skill is.

It has:

Range: 1075
Projectile Speed: 2000

vs Ezreal Q

Range: 1100
Projectile Speed: 2000

What makes it so much harder seemingly to hit? It feels like its a 50% or less hitrate in most games.

My guess is it's the animation distance/hitbox not matching up quite right with the max range. At least in Asian games, a lot of the miss rate seems to come from misjudging the max range.
