I voted for Imp, but I don't think he'll win. The prospect of seeing ex-teammates settling out their differences, or completely freak out at the mere thought of having to play with one another again, is just too tempting to ignore I guess. I mean, I have no idea why Riot is putting so much weight into this tournament in the first place if they're not even going to adress the nature of the competition to the voters. Voting for your favourite players, and voting for who you believe should represent their region in their quest to gain that additional qualification spot are two completely different things. Then there's this issue of South East Asia not being able to vote for players from the same nation more than three times just to ensure that Taiwanese players do not dominate the votes. Riot couldn't have made the All Stars tournament any less of a legitimate competition even if they tried, yet they are ready to distribute their Season 3 World Championship spots according to the results. Either have a fun event, or run a legitimate competition, don't mix the two to pretend it's the best of both worlds. Jesus, fucking, christ.

Also I really dislike this obsession with locodoco people have. Really can't stand him tbh. Would much rather see Score/madlife or Cpt Jack/Madlife or something like that. Also massive Quinn buffs on PBE along with the ones already live, if this goes through Top Quinn should be cool stuff :o

I just happen to believe that Imp is the superior player to him at the moment, and deserves the place instead if we are going to choose the players most worthy of attempting to gain their region an extra spot. I don't think people should be blamed for their personal preference if they were not notified of the nature of their votes by Riot. The responsibility of running a joke of a tournament lies with Riot.

Have a fan participation section where the best dressed Ahri look-a-like gets to play with the biggest names in the scene. Wow man put down that strawman, you're really not helping your own argument by arguing like that And I think you're overexaggerating the importance of the extra region slot. The team that makes it in via that slot is not going to be one of the top teams by definition, and has low chances of actually winning or placing in the WC.

Like yeah, he was good once. But during this season of LCS he's been playing like shit. On top of that, he's an asshole. I don't like him. As for Locodoco, I don't have much of an opinion on him.

There's a certain calibre I expect from a tournament that decides the placement of a World Championship slot. This is not it. I seem to remember some "network issues" just when the european favorites were about to lose 0-2 to a bunch of chinese guys eh ~_~ who then won the series in "the most epic bo3 in the history of esports" I think you're onto something

320 IP to go until I can actually buy Syndra... Getting abit bored of playing Zed in lag -_- I'm sure Syndra in lag will be even worse, though... Luckily tomorrow I'll be back at home and will be able to play without lag - Will be interesting to see how much better I'll do then. Sidenote: I'vebeen getting stop lag and teleport lag in EUW, so that sometimes my champion just stops and nothing moves but hp bars drop, and also champions teleporting around the place randomly sometimes. Riot's new patch is too good, also have had many disconnecting people...

If there is no point to making sure a tournament that decides the allocation for that extra spot for the World Championship has standards, and happens to be just about the viewership, why not go all the way? There needs to be a standard that needs to be kept in competitions of any kind, or else it degenerates into a form of entertainment, not a legitimate competition. I thought this site is one of the few in the world that actually cares about the integrity of a fairly run competition. The moment the issue of seeding ended up being involved, this tournament became a legitimate competition, not a hyped up showmatch. We need to treat it as such in my opinion, and Riot clearly is not doing so. Further more, I disagree that the decision to give a certain region an additional S3 World Championship spot can to be taken lightly. Fnatic were unable to qualify for IPL5, but with a stroke of luck were able to replace a team that were scheduled to be there, and ended up placing second. A team that fails to qualify for a certain tournament may also have the capability win it if they happen to be on a roll. The consequences of the team that qualify for the World Championship, and the ones that don't, due to this seeding placement, cannot be taken lightly. Surely anybody who expects the players pour in the hours just for the chance to make it into the World Championship, would also expect Riot to take their responsibility of allocating these spots to the players seriously. Riot cares about the viewership, and money. I get that. It's a business. But it's also a competition, and I want to at least have the illusion of a legitimate competition going on. That's all I'm asking for.

Riot cares about the viewership, and money. I get that. It's a business. But it's also a competition, and I want to at least have the illusion of a legitimate competition going on. That's all I'm asking for. I think Riot is more approaching this from the perspective of say, the MLB All-Star game. They still want it to be a fan-voted all-star game, mostly for fun, mostly for exposure, hype, etc. They do however want the players at the game to play for realsies, like the game means something, and the best way to do that is to make the game(s in this case) actually mean something. There are tons of people that dislike the MLB solution as well so I'm not saying it's perfect or anything, but at the same time it is better now than it was for the years leading up to the rule change(game was awful). The Pro-Bowl is facing possible revamps for this reason as well, and although it's for some different reasons(pro football players face pretty significant injury chances on a per-game basis, and don't see giving ANY effort in the game as worth the risk), giving the game some meaning might go a long way to helping that problem.
