The lolking rating is determined solely through your division and league pts rather than any MMR emulation algorithm so its pretty much just as worthless.

if u win alot of matches u start getting alot of points for wins, i fucked up my placement matches and landed in silver1, i won most of my games and now i get 30 points for win in silver I also lose alot less than that.

That's the system trying to normalize you.

The pts part is scaled. But everyone who is [Division X] with [K] pts will have the same Lolking scoreelo which wouldn't be true if it was a real MMR system.

Riot forgot their common sense in the locker when they gave Kha'Zix a physical muramana.

I'm not entirely sure that's true. As unlikely of a scenario as it is, the person who wins every game except their promotion series will be at the same Division/LP as the person who just fell down 3 divisions on a 20 game losing streak. It's unlikely (though possible) that their internal MMR is the same.

To be honest the advantage gained by having armourpen working for you is probably counteracted by the average armour a player has is massively higher. Squishies get scaling armour per level and zhonyas/randuins/ga and tanks tend to stack armour as well because of ads.

I'm not certain squishies will have more armour than MR after your runes/masteries/LW/potential BC have had their way with them, tho.

So, I'm slumping right now. Anybody got any tips to get out of it? Right now I'm doing the basketball method of "just keep shooting till you get out of it."

Instead you get these weird cases where your internal MMR and Division might be really out of whack.

Edit: REGARDLESS IT'S A MOOT POINT. Seraph's OP anyway zzz.

Also known as "tilting", lol
Take a break, go outside, watch some vods if you must.
Forcing LoL on a losing streak is a guaranteed tailspin :p

Instead you get these weird cases where your internal MMR and Division might be really out of whack. Only not being able to drop tiers has any real possibility of desynching your MMR and division/points, and these are easily detectable by people sitting at the bottom of their league with zero points. Failing your promotion series all the time has an upper limit to how much it can desync your MMR and division, since at some point you have to maintain a 50% loss rate to fail to promote (lose 2/3, win 1 game and get enough points to immediately get back into a promotion series)* *edit: although this needs the assumption that the matchmaker always matches players up evenly, which is generally true for most MMR ranges
Hell, lolking could even try to be smart and use LP earned/lost per game as a way to figure out how far off a player's MMR and division is. Not sure if they already do this.

Exercise and a shower. I used to do this when I was playing. Then I'd read or do something else, maybe play a different game, go out, whatever.
Then after a while I will come back, play dominion, normals, aram, and generally just dick around and have fun. Then I'd hop back into ranked again feeling refreshed!
P.S. Showers are so awesome.
Edit: And of course, channel your inner baylife.

Thinking of buying Jayce since he's on sale now. Should I?
Showers are the best btw. I think I'll have one right now even.
