game mechanic question: Is there no Chain CC in LOL? I saw a thread on reddit about how oce can zho while being stunned. Basically elise E -> Ashe R. These two CC overlap, however, TF still got the zho off in between.

They added a mechanic a while back where "queued" abilities will fire off between CCs as long as they are instant. I don't think it was reverted, anyway.

Yeah IIRC they changed it a while back so if you queue up an action before the second CC hits, the action will go off when the first CC ends, even if the second already hit you. I still think it's kinda stupid.

This is an entirely different mechanic than having abilities with large cast times, like Singed's flip. If you queue up your flip on a WW running at you to ult, WW's ult will go off first, and then you will flip him out of his own ult, but this is because your flip started casting while WW was in midair. This is the same reason why Ezreal can blink out of Blitz grabs or why Lux and Ezreal can keep casting their ult while CC'd.

The current issue is more that you can flash out of a knockup+silence combo if you queued your escape during the knockup, and then you will be silenced at the location you flash to.

I remember that they implemented the ability queue to supposedly help players who were playing with high ping/lag.

It was a stupid change and I honestly wish they would revert it.

man i had no idea the league system moved so slowly.

i've mostly been playing with normals with friends and improving that way, but the other day i made some terrible blunders, a lot of it mechanical (missing easy skillshots) so i thought i'd grind some ranked yesterday to fix those kinks. due to inactivity i got demoted to silver 5.

won 5 straight, got into promotion series, won 2 straight... and... silver 4? that's it?

did they just make this game more grindy? i miss ELO.

playing with bronzies is soooo boring. i get away with so much ridiculous stuff that i feel like i'm just reinforcing bad habits.

Your opponents are not determined by your division but by MMR (which does not decay i think)

nope it's really just that slow. i think it took me like 110 games to grind plat 2 to plat 5 to diamond 5 lol.

that's strange then. i had no idea i was that bad before...

or maybe my ranked MMR never had time to adjust?
but didn't they change it so that number of wins is factored in to your MMR in both ranked and normal?

Not exactly. They match you in your MMR, and then try to match you with people of similar games won. That way, the 1100 players who have been playing for a long time don't get matched with the new to ranked people.

Not that there's much difference in skill level there.

One of my fan art paintings was recently featured on the latest Summoner's Showcase (#103, it's the Swain painting) and I've been getting 10+ buddy requests a day since the 18th.

The funniest part is Riot doesn't notify you at all if they pick your piece, and I almost never watch the showcases. Couple this with the fact that I did the painting over a year ago, and I thought someone had posted my screen name somewhere as a spam account or something.

If a friend hadn't told me that I was on the showcase, I'd probably still be extremely confused.
