For assassinating squishies, Hydra is simply better damage. The big difference is that Hydra offers less utility than BotRK. While using Hydra's active in a brawl or group of minions is a lot of healing, it's not going to save your life when escaping a gank, nor will it ensure a kill when you're chasing someone down. | ||

I'm a little on the lazy side to find an exact comparison, but building up to Hydra you're either sitting on just Tiamat(so no lifesteal), or Vamp+Pickaxe or something like that, so no active utility. | ||

GP has fallen out of flavor quite a bit, there is nothing wrong with his kit inherently but the varying other roles that more prominent 1v2s serve seem to be more suited to the level of farm you get with those champions. stronger bruisers than he are able to become strong enough to reach a point where the enemy ad or weaker toplane cannot 1v1 them, even after the initial 1v2 (especially if the tower is pushed down fast / there is an early lane swap back) and thus guarantee themselves the ability to splitpush and secure their own farm that way. people with greater utility or mobility than his global ult (see: shen, or a stronger TP user such as malphite) are able to impact the game more directly. i'd say if his e was a little bit stronger he would be good in teamcomps that would utilize its stats well in pushes and/or objective control | ||

THEY TALKED ABOUT A GRAVES LULU LANE THAT BEAT THEM OUT BY LIKE 10 HP, SO I WAS CURIOUS AND CHECKED THEIR SUMMONER NAMES THEY WERE THE GUYS I HAD JUST PLAYED ROFL SMALL WORLD GG RIOT so... i just played a game where we won bot lane by literally a combined 30-50 hp. enemy twitch/leona engaged on us, but me (lulu) and graves managed to barely survive through a combination of my ridiculous cc and shields and some nice smokescreens and quickdraws (and i popped hp pot at the beginning of the fight, whew). i went to the study room of my dorm afterwards and saw two kids with lol open. they were complaining about how they had just lost to a graves/lulu lane barely, so i peeked at their screens. sure enough, they were the guys i had just played. gg riot, small world. | ||
