I'm willing to give gtrsrs the benefit of the doubt as far as his decision-making from a manager's perspective, but I'm going to wait for 1g1d to go through all 12 steps of the program before I'm completely convinced.

He did? On the reddit thread I vaguely remember guitar was surprised upon hearing that 1g1d is Deezer.

in combination with any kind of aoe slow/control like a karthus wall, ori ult, diana vacuum, it's just absolutely ridiculous. The upfront damage was nerfed but if they stand in the ult for the full duration it's a buff. So yes, if they are slowed in the AoE they will take more damage per tick and probably equal the old damage or be better than it. It's say it was a lane nerf but a team fight buff. karthus wall + rumble ult as got to be the most stupid combo in the game. there is literally no way to survive it.

in combination with any kind of aoe slow/control like a karthus wall, ori ult, diana vacuum, it's just absolutely ridiculous. It's jsut as good over the full duration, but it no longer will be doing like 700 damage initial burst, you need to keep people IN the aoe now. Solo, you can land a double harpoon if thier flash is down and that's probably enough, in teamfights it will serve either as a 'dont be here' or 'you can't get out while fighting effectively so you die' but no longer a 'lol there goes 70% of the ADC's health in one click!' Like you said - in combination with something to keep them in the aoe, it's ridiculous. well, it could also be something like positioning or even alleyways.
having it as a dot has a different effect. when you get hit with a burst, you know you have to get out, but as a dot, you really have to calculate several steps ahead to see if the dot damage is worth staying to fight which could be hard to do in a messy team fight situation.
in one game i played, we were in lategame(38 min), we caught their ad carry and decided to do baron.
5v3, vayne/vi/syndra/renek/lux vs maokai/rumble/support blitzcrank and we got pentakilled by rumble and baron stolen.

I see. Then I guess it isn't too big of a deal.
Sure this might draw some sc2 haters, but honestly,
+ Show Spoiler +
so it doesn't matter.

? we couldn't care less about those " sc2 haters", it's the fact pretty everyone here knows what kind of scumbag he is ever since wc3, do you really think we only complain because we are worried that the sc2 community finds out that one of their worst idiots might make it pro in league?

but srs deezer is kind of a scumbag, i won't deny he's a pretty good gamer, but his attitude is what you'd find at like bronze 4. I've actually played around 15 games in Bronze IV, and the BM is basically non existant compared to Silver. Everyone in that league knows they're bad, while players in Silver think they belong in LCS because they aren't in Bronze.

My experience is that the real smurfs tell you after they've hit legendary, and they have the cs to back up their statement. Somebody who's legendary with 100 cs at 30 min was just fed, and despite their claims are not diamond smurfs

It's interesting. Moving up the ranks I have noticed that in high Silver people have an EXTREME problem grouping, even worse than bronze. Everyone is so worried about missing any cs or buffs, they never group.
And yea the rage in Silver is a lot more than Bronze.

Don't know. I just went from Silver 3 -> 1 and everyone was fine. Must be a sample size thing. Was even thinking the other day about the "elohell" that everyone seems to complain about but almost all my games have been fine. I get far worse people when I queue for normals with my buddies who are lower.

tbh I feel silly for even getting annoyed at this point I guess we'll just see what happens.

Don't take that as an elo hell complaint. I suck and deserve to be at my rank. Just one of those weird things I am having a problem with.

Everyone gets random teammates so it's pretty expected that people have different expiriences .Like just now as someone who has the shittiest of shitty mmr-s in d5 and I have the most gold as supp on my team and 2-nd in kills when I didn't ks once lol.
I wonder if riot will ever actually really make it solo q and rate your performance instead of just end result because in my games at least half the people in the game don't get the deserved ending.

Oh I'm sorry I never meant it like that. I expected terrible people when I first went into ranked since my from my experience low level games tend to be terrible with flames and quiting constantly. However League has been surprisingly decent so just wanted to convey that. Far better than when I was smurfing dota with my buddies other day.

i apologize for insulting bronze 4 for comparing them to deezer
but yeah, i saw curse of the bloody bullet time, it was pretty bad. my friends were down like 20 kills and enemy team had baron, didnt matter at all, 4k 300/200 tank died in 2.3 seconds.

From my point of view, the rage in silver is indeed bigger than in gold. I feel like, Silver player are players that have the mechanics (more or less) but makes horrendous decisions in positionning, engaging, timing, etc. Most of the players have a good understanding of the game but not a good enough understanding of how you play a team game or how you play behind, so that they all end up raging when their mates makes mistakes, and at the same time barely ever understand where or when they did their own mistakes which all ends up in frustration.
Also I'm now up in gold III (I barely lose games, from gold I to gold III I only lost 7 games and one promotion serie) and I'm not sure if I got better at the game or the new system just makes it all easy to go up the ranks. Sadly I'm pretty sure it's the second.
Someone on TL Party told me to build Lichbane on Ahri, I must say it was the best tip someone gave me since a long time. It's fucking awesome and actually deal quite a lot.
