sounds completely restricted to silver if you ask me Well there is a cognitive bias that makes most people think they do good and others do bad. That's something that exist in all divisions, but what I'm talking about is more a skill flaw where they think individually (farming cs, grinding lvls, getting gear) and not about the team or map objectives.

Also I'm now up in gold III (I barely lose games, from gold I to gold III I only lost 7 games and one promotion serie) and I'm not sure if I got better at the game or the new system just makes it all easy to go up the ranks. Sadly I'm pretty sure it's the second.
Someone on TL Party told me to build Lichbane on Ahri, I must say it was the best tip someone gave me since a long time. It's fucking awesome and actually deal quite a lot. Lichbane is a solid item on nearly any AP champion, it's just the issue of fitting it in to a build. Pretty much anyone that stacks AP gets another nuke out of it, one that can be very dangerous if you have the AA range to take advantage of it.

shouldnt focus on improving other people ever unless youre in a 5s team and have been on it for a while. I don't even criticize my teammates because I feel like I don't know them well enough that they won't get offended.

This is correct. If the guy screwed up, especially at higher levels, they'll know it right when they make the mistake. At lower levels you're more likely to get the guy to rage terribly than to improve because they don't know how to rectify the mistake.

I usually build it in first item (after boots and one doran) if I am ahead, with zhonya second. Ahri has both the mobility and the AA range to make it okay not having a defensive item in first. But most people don't understand that and I occasionally have some people who says I suck for building a sheen with ahri...

lol people say this shit but do you really need to hear it? You aren't going to improve a whole elo bracket by telling someone they should ward their lane if they're going to push. And if you intend to get out the elo bracket anyone making a mistake doesn't matter to you at all because you're going to be out of there in days.
and telling people mistkaes in game only functions to incite their rage

There's a SC2 scene? You mean middle school?

I find that criticism is all in the phrasing, sometimes. Instead of "VAYNE STOP FARMING BOT AND GET INTO A TEAMFIGHT FOR ONCE" you can say "We can't teamfight without vayne". It hints at vayne to stop farming and get with the team, but it also plays into vayne's ego in the sense that this team needs vayne to carry them and that makes vayne feel motivated as opposed to offended.

You'd be surprised how often this is not the case.Pretty much always I've played with supp/adc who are higher ranked they just do something completely retarded and blame their lane partner.
Like I've smurfed on a friend's acc who was silver 1 and I liked the 20 games I played a LOOOOOOT more than the usual ones I get.Didn't meet a single flamer or someone who just did stuff he shouldn't gameplay-wise.

Also, balance patch 3.5 http://na.leagueoflegends.com/news/patch-35-balance-update
Nerfed: Akali, Kayle, Lux, Volibear Buffed: Corki, Karma, Morgana, Nami, Nautilus, Nunu, Quinn QoL: Urgot
Spirit of Ancient Golem now has CDR instead of armor, and is cheaper. Spirit of the Elder Lizard gives less AD but is also cheaper. Seraph's active shield mana ratio reduced but now has a base value (break even at 3000 current mana) Muramana proc now does physical damage.
EDIT: forgot nunu

Nick Allen is now RiotNickAllen.

people can be "good" and have been playing for a long time but never reflect on the game in the right ways, this is especially true for 5s. NAers in general attribute team mistakes to individual error and don't bother digging deeper to identify what exactly went wrong.
|
Granted when I see some player with Plat border pick Soraka support when we were more dive-oriented than peel-oriented with the other team picking Nasus/Pantheon/Malphite, and he builds philo/kage/seeker's/mejai... I know I do mistakes and stuff, but that can't be limited to silver.
(And my support just fachecked a bush when against Twitch+Blitz, so you always have stuff to criticise. x) )

there is no way to rate players except for the game result. The only (not viable) possibility would be to have each game observed from a person with deep understading of the game and let him give notes at the end.

lol wtf tidal wave range increase?? is this real life?

I agree with just about every change in that patch tbh. All awesome stuff.

What I had in mind is for example if you have good kda in a game you lost>you lose less.
Also the muramana change is kind of interesting I'd say.Should make it better.
