FINALLY I CAN PLAY TRUNDLE AGAIN WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I wonder what their idea of a 'gameplay update' is though, because Trundle certainly needs a LOT of help right now and has for ages. 'Similar in scope to Taric changes' doesn't make me feel good. | ||

Why from a plague troll to an ice troll? The most likely we can infer about his "lore update" doesn't bode well to me. T_T | ||

T_T They said there was a disconnect in the lore, where the Trolls were just kind of there and weren't connected to anything in the LoL-verse. I guess this makes them a decent antagonist for Ashe and them, but I agree the charm of "plague troll" was something special. | ||

The Taric changes kinda altered how his abilities scale and work, without changing what they do. (well, other than the passive, but Taric's old passive just plain sucked.) I think that Trundle could be pretty darn good with a change like this because his core function (poke-assist, peel/zone control, antibruiser) is actually pretty good at what it does, but it kinda falls apart in certain places. | ||

Yeah, this connects them with the rest of the LoL-verse and gives them a place that interacts with other parts of the lore. (also opens up the possibility of another Troll champion) I do miss the 'i bear the weight of this curse for my whole race' that Trundle used to have, but honestly, it was so... seperate... from everything else that it was basically Trundle being in his own universe. Even champions like Nasus who ARE from their own universe have become more connected into the rest of LoL's lore than that. | ||

I read the first post and so... "troll king"? Then the remake, big buff mean troll, that's different from the others in that he's the king? And probably into the league to represent his tribe? :/ If you told me "our next champion is the troll king, leading his tribe to the league with his icy club!" I wouldn't be interested at all, while Trundle as he is now is, I feel, compelling, and his kit goes well with his lore. How will they tie Pillar of Filth, Contaminate or Agony to his new theme? Hell, even Rabid Bite and Decompose are tied to his plagued theme. | ||

I kind of liked him being disconnected from the lore. Not everyone has to be someone else's brother/sister/lover/etc. It makes the world feel smaller that way. Plus Trundle always has been an outsider, so it fit him. | ||

Or they'll just make it so the Trolls have some sort of Plague attached to them or something. There's a dozen ways they can go about it. Personally, I'll be glad if it's the former. I think "elemental" characters get shoved to casters too often, I like element-themed melee characters, so an Ice Bruiser would be right up my alley. There's not really that many in LoL outside of skins, really just a handful. | ||
