Fuck this game is addicting.
your soul belongs to thresh now hhehehe FTFY Anyways, Every time I pick Lulu in ranked, something goes horribly wrong in lane. Either my ADC is pants-on-head retarded, my jungler D/cs, the opponents are TSM, but only when I pick Lulu. Other supports and its back to the normal silver 2 game. Might just be me being bad at lulu, but I've had games where I do really well with her outside of solo queue ranked. Taric for me, always win the lane, never win the game.

I see a lot of people talk about how good Wukong is in teamfights but he has a weak laning phase.
I know a few teams played him in the jungle in LCS but why isn't he used more in the jungle? Slow clear? I have never played the monkey so I really don't know what he is like other than what I have seen/read.
Edit: His base stats and ratios are insane. Plus that +40 MR/Armor in late game teamfights :o

he has no sustain and his clear is bad and his ganks are only average not really a jungle champ

Does his E work over walls? You could play him with smite/exhaust like people used to with Shyvana for gank purposes. Plus stealth is great for ganks.
No sustain hurts and I can't argue with slow clear seeing as I have never played him but his Q seems like it could do well with the new single target jungling change.

I wonder why the draven change wasn't mentioned in the patch notes. It is like a bug fix but makes him so much stronger(especially in lane).

Also going along with his weak early game in lane, his dueling potential early isn't amazing. Popular Junglers like Xin and J4 would be able to bully him a lot with Jungle invades.

It needs a target so only if you have vision of said target.

So I have a dilemma guys. The way that the Chinese server works is that there's like 20 different servers, some of which still allow signups, and some don't. I didn't know there was a server that had all the pros on it at that time (艾欧尼亚), so I just picked the one with the best ping for me (恕瑞玛). 5 months later, I've finally hit level 30 and started up ranked, and the level of play is actually a lot worse than it was on NA (kat and master yi are permabans/firstpicks...).
Should I just stick to trying to get high on this server or should I go and shell out the money to buy an account where the competition is better?

Friend of mine played it last night, us others were feeding so it didn't go that well but it seemed interesting.

Quality Player (the guy who popularized (not "invented)) AP Trynd tried him and had very limited success.

I don't get what the idea is. You have the same sustain, but can't 1v1 people like Tryndamere due to lack of regular spell AP scaling and a ridiculously strong ult for 1v1 situations. In return you get an AOE ult that scales off AP, but with a lot of randomness built in and no damage otherwise. What role do you play? I can't see splitpushing working really because you're not a 1v1 threat.

On March 26 2013 00:13 Mensol wrote: Has anyone tried ap gankplank? i think he is as strong as ap tryndamare :o I wouldn't say he's anywhere near as strong as AP Trynd since he can't become a virtually unkillable split push machine. He's kind of gimmicky. You can surprise people with your ult doing more damage than expected and healing for a ton, but he's really squishy and doesn't do much in team fights. Even if you build Lich Bane his Q doesn't do that much damage. This is coming from me laning against one and even though he stalemated the lane by picking up kills and assists with his ult, I contributed much more to late game team fights.
|
I suppose he'd also have pretty good poke with Lichbane/DC Parrrley, but you can get as good or better results as AD/Crit Gangplank, while also having good autoattacks. It might be funny to run around being unkillable with a massive heal that also removes CC, but once they realize that they just have to gtfo your ult and ignore you, it kind of becomes pointless because all you can do is proc Q every now and then.
I guess in that regard it could kind of work as a splitpusher, since you can still contribute to teamfights with his ult (true GP style), and get out of a lot of retaliation with W, but even then you don't push super hard (lacking an AoE) and can't escape the way Trynd, Nid, or the like can with dashes and jumps.

I've tried it twice now and have had amazing success(at a low level of play of course): When going solo top Kha'Zix against a tanky team you evolve and max Q first, followed by evolving W and E in the order that makes the most sense(Usually W first). This way your sustained damage is actually able to hang in there with the bruisers and your %health damage of Q is actually really powerful in duels. The main problem with solo top khazix is that I haven't been able to have a ton of movement and can't really participate in fights or ganks until significantly later on in the game.
You actually clearly out-trade even stuff like Garen by just spamming Q on cooldown and it has like no mana cost. Can still burst ADs like nobody's business as well.
Sample size is "limited" of course but the -feel- has still been far better than in the numerous games where I've gone with the cookie cutter.
I've played AP Gangplank quite a few times. Q even with lich bane doesn't actually do shit and his ulti is decent but still you need to be quite lucky to accomplish anything. Mostly you just run around and die. I think that it'd be a better idea to go aurabot or something.
On the topic of Wukong, I don't really like him in the jungle but as a solo top in the right matchups he trades like crazy and dives freely after six.

His damage is awesome for ganks, but his problem is 0 cc pre-6. If you have someone who can hold them down for him(Leona/Blitzcrank bot, Singed top) he can work well.
I feel the change to jungle minions actually helps him in clear time overall, as his nimbus will usually clear baby wraith/dogs in 2 strikes, while he just uses q on big wraith and whacks it. Probably average clear times, but then Vi came along and e'd the camp twice, clearing it entirely.
Honestly, I think its just better to play him top. If you are able to survive the laning phase/get an early kill(red pot start good for this), he can only snowball into an even team fighting monster.

Do you mean his first clear, or his clears thereafter? With a typical AD/AD/Armor/MR setup his first clear should end with at least 2/3rds of his health on a leashless run, and finish before 3:45. He shouldn't have clearing issues after that so long as you grab either Madred's or Spirit Stone.
I think the bigger issue for jungle Wukong is finding a build that works on jungle farm, as you want some AD/Penetration for his ultimate to truly be scary but need defensive stats in order to survive long enough to use it effectively.

He should be alright going brutalizer -> tank up -> finish black cleaver for a decent balance.

Waiting for Fionn to eventually predict matches here and curse whoever he picks as well.
