At level 1, it's a nerf if you have 9 or more bonus AD. At level 18, it's a nerf if you have 632 bonus AD or more (lol). Basically at very low levels it's pretty much always a nerf, and at very high levels it's always a buff, and breaks even somewhere in the middle. | ||

Just like how people randomly skip leagues based on MMR. Kind of ruins the whole idea of leagues... lol. I had a friend that lost like 4? games at 0 points and didn't get demoted. It's all MMR based. | ||

It's so annoying, I started silver 2, dropped to silver 3, won like 12/15 games to get into silver 2 again, and then I lose like 4 in a row and get deranked all over. I thought they were supposed to give you some sort of buffer zone at 0 points, but I guess not. Now I have to win at least 5 more games to get back up to silver 2, and then win more after that to get silver 1 lol. It's such a climb. | ||

The fact that this bothers you means that Riot has been 100% successful in obfuscating the system in making you think about divisions and tiers rather than realizing that the underlying Elo system is the exact same as it ever was.
