It still doesn't seem like a very good buy. A 2.9k mediocre AP/health item on a jungler after you buy a machete/spirit stone/boots makes it seem like it's going to come way too late to be of any real use (you'd want it as early as possible practically). I'd still rather just buy more health/armor pieces and do a better job of tanking in teamfights w/ or w/o a turret present. I can possibly see it mainly being bought by supports as a 5th or 6th item.

With the change I can see Ohmwrecker as a situational buy for teams who are having trouble with enemy teams who are turtling hardcore. Have the support upgrade their Philo to Ohmwrecker instead of Shurelya, some AP and HP is nice, use it to prevent them from instagibbing minion waves and preventing tower dives.

As someone who has never played with anything below 210ms you definitely get used to it after a while. Perhaps prioritize champions without skillshots.

yeah, i made the post after watching patch preview and before patch notes, so i just assumed it would be something like philo + ruby crystal or something along those lines. Blasting wand took me by surprise.

Thing is this post exemplifies the very reason for abandoning the (visible) Elo system in the first place. Thinking that Elo actually is a precise enough measure to have any meaning (outside of a wide range of +/- 100 Elo) is one of the major problems that the new system tries to fix. Sure, many people here already understand this fact but I'm pretty sure the vast majority of the LoL population does not. Personally I think the divisions actually don't cover a broad enough Elo range (leading to a lot of people fluctuating between divisions without actually changing in skill level), other than that the new system works pretty well (ignoring the issues around Challenger Tier that may need some addressing - my fix would be to either unlock viewing the underlying Elo once you reach Diamond Tier or letting people keep accruing League Points while waiting for a chance to make it into Challenger).

They could have removed visible Elo much more easily by simply replacing them with divisions that correspond directly to Elo ranges, rather than make a complicated system that's even less accurate, though.

In all honesty, the separation between ranked and normals past level 30 has very little meaning anymore. Ranked pretty much does nothing to separate "casual" and "competitive" anymore. People troll ranked all the time, and likewise there are a lot of ridiculously tryhard normal players/games (e.g. Ehomda stacks). You could honestly combine ranked and post-30 normals into a single queue and it probably wouldn't change anyone's play experience that much at all.

Weird, people are pretty chill from what I've seen. Most don't even mention it? I mention it if my team wants to surrender and it's way too early, but otherwise I generally don't. I figure the odds of someone trolling me are way too high to risk mentioning from the beginning.

There are people who only play normals and who actually take it pretty seriously. There are people who play ranked and want you to have a meta team(all my games) in normals. And there are people like me who troll in ranked :D

I don't play that much. I'm not going to waste time playing normals when I can play ranked.
I think in our modern age technology has evolved to become more addictive. The things that don't give us pleasure aren't used as much. Work was never meant to be fun, but doing it makes us happier in the long run.

not to be stereotypical but koreans seems to always have the best mechanics. The only players I've ever been truly impressed by mechanically are all korean americans/canadians.

To be fair Im not saying this happens every game or anything, just that its particularly annoying the few times it did happen. I also made use of the dodge feature in champ select because said guy was already angry at what other ppl on the team were picking.

Thanks for all the input on program ideas in the last GD! I have so many projects now.

I will of course let you guys know when (not if) I complete them. Some of them might prove difficult as I don't have access to league of legends. For this reason, I will probably ask you guys to test them.

Also can anyone inform me why they increased the cost of glacial and frozen heart but said (still costs same)? Did they cheapen a component and I just didn't see?
