LCS Fantasy League
The LCS is here! And how best to enjoy a season of teams going up against each other, week after week? Creating a fantasy league!
Leaguepedia has put together a fantasy league app over at http://www.leaguepediafantasy.com/ which has all 16 teams competing in the NA and EU LCS series. Here's how to join the fantasy league, and how to join the TL.net group and test your mettle as a fan, as a theorycrafter and as an analyst!
How to set up your team and join the TL group
- Register with the link above.
- On the page Join or Create a league, search for ]i]Teamliquid.net or use This Link. The password for joining the TL group is part=51
- Go to the Fantasy Team Lineup page and choose your team. When you finish selecting your team, make sure you save your lineup.
[/i]
How to Play
- You pick one player for each of the standard team positions. You have a salary cap of $100.
- You earn points based on your players KDA and CS.
- Every week, you can change your lineup, and are limited to the $100 salary cap. Player values are based on recent LCS performances. (Before a team has played games in the LCS, their values are based on Ranked 5s play performances, so numbers may be a little weird.)
- Scores start accumulating beginning week 3. At this point, player value will no longer be based on ranked 5 play, as all teams will have played some games in the LCS.
- Further information for how scoring is calculated can be found on the Fantasy Scoring Formula page.
List of Fantasy League Participants
- From here, you can look at what the rest of us have chosen for our teams.

You have to join the League first, then create your team in most cases. The page handles teams individually for Leagues you join.

Ah, ok. I'll reorder that.

got doublelift, elementz, zionspartan (was a fucking STEAL this week), shiphtur, and snoopeh (also super underpriced gg)
whoever wins, i win gg week 1

I had a hard time deciding between Elementz and Nrated too. I noticed snoopeh's price was pretty reasonable also, but I got worried because they're up against Gam5bit match 1, and I could definitely see Diamond walking all over Snoopeh if things go wrong.

This is really cool. I always felt left out when my friends would talk about their Fantasy Football stats. It sounded fun but I don't follow football. Thank god for my fellow nerds!

Kinda sad that this weak doesnt count. I think I found a pretty good roster.

Yeah, but it's apparent some of these guys are priced far too low. This way people can't get out to an early lead getting someone who is a beast for cheap when they should be worth more.

I did it the other way around, created a team first, then joined the TL league. In the fantasy lineup tab (http://www.leaguepediafantasy.com/lineup/) it says that my team belongs to the teamliquid.net league. But when I click on my name in the TL league (http://www.leaguepediafantasy.com/roster/?lid=1118&oid=7059), my roster is empty. I cant seem to add anything there, cant delete my roster either. What can I do now?

Clicking your name in the TL League to view the roster doesn't do anything. They seem to have not implemented that functionality yet. The comments for me are also "pppft Oddone" even though my roster doesn't have Oddone.
In 2 weeks when this actually goes live we can see if they make it more useable. Micromanaging your team right now doesn't even matter because you don't get points and also the salaries will change.

Alright. I was just confused because I can see other peoples roster by clicking their name but not my own.

when the value of my players go up, do i have to change my team or can i keep them?
For example i bought alex ich for 22, so when he eventually goes up to 30 cause he is a beast, will i have to swap?

Sadly, there's no long-term reward for identifying under-priced players past the current week - you always have to keep your roster at the $100 mark.

I have Alex Ich, Dyrus, nRated, Brokenshard, and Doublelift (free points IMO). I was debating Alex Ich and Ecco (because ecco is gonna be huge, I already know) but I decided to go with the safe pick

Eh, nevermind, understood that in the wrong way, lockdown only for pay-to-play leagues.
Resetting the team each week, that's interesting (and annoying). Hopefully you keep additional cash if you chose well...on the other hand, this way you can't "snowball" a good week 1 performance the way it sometimes happens with FPL.
