Hm, so I got 21 points... it's a bit higher than what Elo would have given me since I had a premade on my team, my last game was +19 Elo (1251 before that, and it put me to 14-13 record) and with such a number of games I'm still on accelerated. Then again, the divisions aren't 100 Elo apart since there are 5 divisions per tier, more something like 70-80. So 20 points makes sense.
Trying to give confidence to a friend that got "depressed" from getting seeded in Bronze 4 emphazises how bad the system is for me, though. Every time I get an argument to show her how the bottom doesn't mean she's that bad since the skill discrepancy there is higher due to not being able to drop a tier, I feel like pulling stuff out of my ass. :/
She was a lot less annoyed by Elo because ~1000 is still far from 0, with no high limit, while the tier system gives a maximum tier, and a set number. Being in the 4th out of 5 seems to feel much worse for her (since 1000 Elo doesn't exactly tell you "you're in the bottom 40% players").

well with lolesports.com launching...i guess it's in their best interest not to allow too much ressource on LoL..anyway it seems most of the TLers just hate LoL for some reason. Quite sad

What i don't quite understand is how Ryze has not gotten any nerf. Is this just because too many people buy archangels on him and thus don't get to know just how OP he is? I have seen Ryze get 3 kills in a 1v5 situation, where he literally just teleported into the whole enemy team alone. Like, if i were a mid player, i would just play ryze every game. Maybe i should just still do it. He has absolutely no problem with buying armor against ad mids, can probably outtrade them anyways, and just does bonkers damage while being tanky, all of that damage being AE due to his ult, and having lots of spellvamp on top of it. The only thing he does not have is large mobility, so maybe one could deal with him in a pokecomp. But good luck getting that working in soloqueue.

Ryze's laning phase is weaker than other top teir champs, and he can be beaten pretty solidly by a wide variety of common mids. Additionally, his midgame is fairly weak too (compare to Diana, Kat, etc)
However, do NOT let a Ryze make it to 6 items. He's like the Kog'maw of AP- once he gets fullbuild, you pretty much win the game.
It sounds like you let a Ryze get fed, then he pwned you with his ult one time. No need to get butthurt, it happens all the time to us APs when bot feeds and we can't even get a spell off in teamfights without Graves or Corki oneshotting us.

I think that you can be sure that Riot knows we're here, who we are, and what content we are producing. TL is hard to ignore, even when LoL is not a supported game. We win out over a lot of places with what we make, and y'all should be proud to be a part of it. =D

Spec mode seems bugged, it always displays 0 towers killed by each team in the current game I'm spectating. Anyone has had that (or spectated a game with proper working towers killed counts) since the patch?

I love playing ryze simply because a lot of people play too passive, if ryze has equal farm to you past level 6 your in trouble because you did not shut him down.. he needs to be completely shut down and its mid/junglers fault if that does not happen.. I have had games as ryze where i have gone 13-0-9 just because i've been allowed to crush mid and got fed.. other times i have gone like 2-9-9 because i was camped super hard early game and dispite having wards when you have a jarven with mob boots who is camping you it forces mistakes.. espc because he basically has 0 escapes once somebody is on him..

So, basically, if the enemy has ryze, there is nothing i can do unless i play mid? I am completely dependent on my mid not only not losing lane, but actively shutting him down hard? That is pretty annoying.

I love being a redheaded stepchild, if that means I can discuss in an enviroment with a relative low number of trolls and people that are generally polite to each other. Seriously... why are people so obsessed about increasing the size of this place. I don't care about how many people regularly discuss here, I only care about the quality of the discussion. I'm sure that some people which put so much effort into this sub-forum would like to have a wider recognition and I totally think they deserve it, but selfish-me wants this place to remain small.

Yeah, I had a Katarina vs Ryze lane (was jungling Cho that game), Ryze had flash+tele. I told Kata that I was going to camp that lane for the simple hate on roaming Ryze. He pushed the lane all game long, I called dive twice, Ryze got 3 kills. Needless to say how it ended.

There's a very difficult choice between a small, close-knit community and being a widely known, visited, and respected site for LoL strategic and casual discussion. But I wouldn't worry about it too much. I'm sure things will be staying how they are for a while, with the exception of a few more... things from the TL LoL staff (maybe, possibly, shh).
And the worst thing that could happen is that you get to be a hipster about the "good days" of TL LoL. =D

There isn't even much that shuts down Ryze really. Boots aren't required anymore, so his early weakness isn't nearly as pronounced as in Season 2.
