It costs less and give more health right when you buy it. Also more regen at all stages. But it's also less health at max stacks which is where most pros spend their time anyways. Armor and MR got nerfed which is another thing people will point out, but I think it's more just a realization that health was always a good stat to begin with. Hotshot built it yesterday on Nidalee. I've never seen his max range spears hit for so little, but I felt like for the first time, that he contributed to big teamfights as Nid. Add to that the penetration changes that actually increase the gap in cost-efficiency. As a finisher, look at warmogs' insane cost-efficient + slot-efficiency. Someone on reddit did some math a few days back. His conclusion was that with all the penetration crap coming in, it is actually a good idea to build armor and mr to counter it. It's a common fallacy that you should stack health to counter pen.

Building resistances against FLAT penetrations SHOULD be the better option, right? Or am I thinking about this wrong? Get Elise, Eve (and Karthus for good measure) out of the picture. Even if Katarina does true damage to you, she'll need a lot of AD/AP to bring her raw damage to the point where her full combo will do the 2500 HP needed to kill you. And she has resets. Warmogs/sunfire rushes make my Viktor sad.

Warmog doesn't give any ''useless'' stats like mana or cdr. I think that's one of the reasons. Read this article on it earlier today. Overall it seemed a good read. http://www.reignofgaming.net/blogs/a-different-view/vvinrar/22857-why-is-warmogs-armor-so-strong

A stronger immediate item timing in exchange for a weaker long-run growth is still very likely to be a stronger overall item in the hands of a team that can exploit such timings. It's actually in pub games where the stacking one is stronger because a solo queue team isn't likely to abuse your individual item timing well, and you're better off just being stronger in the long run.

He was getting amped, and he even said "it's been a while since I've made calls". His team did tell him to calm down a couple times, because he was getting slightly over the top, but at the end, Bischu and someone else (I think JRT?) said "I like it though". The chat was just being massive assholes for no reason, Navi was doing really well. Navi was the shot caller. He needs to be loud and assertive to get what he wants done. You listen to the shot caller's direction without question, and you can worry about it all later if things go wrong.
