It's a lategame support item.
In terms of impact, locket has a MUCH larger effect on your team, shield 2+ people for roughly 2/3 the amount each as a crucible heal assuming they're 30-50% hp. Shurelya's is something you want at least one of for teamfighting. So assuming you bought boots, shurelya's and locket and sightstone, that's like 7k tied up right there, not including probably 1k+ that you'll have spent on consumables(pots wards flask oracles etc.)
You'd have to be an insanely rich support to afford crucible, not because it's a bad item, but because the impact it has before any one champ on your team is dominating all fights is actually quite small.
EDIT: I do think it would be a pretty awesome item though if any one person on your team gets fed. Say like a 5/0 irelia early, but all other lanes lost/went even? Go for crucible and then help irelia stay alive for longer.

I agree with giving it time. I think it's a great item but it hasn't been thoroughly explored. TROLLS should get on dis imoimo.

It's all about the effort to reward ratio. When you can win without putting in the extra effort to master a thing like crucible then people won't. Only until you can't then do you start to see the harder to use stuff.
EDIT: If Rhux bought one pink he would have killed Cris by now...

Please don't speak harshly of such a great organization. The acronym is unfortunate but at least let people know it's only an acronym.

I used to get maybe one true troll a week at MAX. 11 of them since yesterday. Today it is a guy with 7 ranked wins (yet I have 125) as 3rd pick who picks Garen when there was a Darius already locked in 2nd pick (we were purple). Darius is forced to go support because this Garen "plays to win". Gives up fb in like 1 minute flat, ends up 3/6. You're blaming the old system you realize right? The new system tries to prevent pairing up people with significant differences in wins. It spends a little bit of extra time trying to do so, then to prevent a long wait it reverts to the old. All of these arguments, everyone playing so noticeably worse but I continue to lose elo! Blame new matchmaking cause I'm not getting any better as my opponents continue to get worse is amusing. You try playing when the rest of your team has less than 100 wins combined and then see if you still find it amusing -.- I enjoy getting partnered with players with a lower amount of wins. Since there is the chance that they would be better than the person sitting with 200+ wins at the same elo. Especially if I had a lower amount of wins myself. The same I wouldn't enjoy playing with low amount of win players if I was 200+. Since at this point I would be at my true elo, while they are searching for theirs still. The new matchmaking system agrees with these feelings as well.
This change would really on affect the 1000-1500 elo range. Where your most likely to encounter the smurfs that will just stomp everyone. It allows for a smoother climb, if you're better than the elo you currently sitting at.

they have a ton of potential, they're still super brand new though if curse lets them move into the gaming house, they're going to have a huge advantage on all the other teams our biggest competition most likely, this game 3 gonna be really good

Crucible has a super slow animation (think cripple on lee sin). Its also expensive.

jdnoob is missing a lot of cs when pushing/holding, and he didn't take any when he stayed bot, his gold must be pretty low, esp. compared to Cho's. Also bad idea letting Vi defend a tower, her kit sucks at that, kinda like Wukong.
|
yeah, jd's farming (in)efficiency is really apparent recently. that's #1 thing i need to work on with him that and our bot lanes' abilities to 2v1 and cris' 1v2 lanes. pretty inconsistent
also big ups to pobelter for farming as well as he has considering he was level 1 when he lost his tower
|
I also dislike jdnoob maxing Q last on Vi. Against the ability to disengage/kite from TF/Cait/Nunu/Nidalee, having a low cooldown on Q to be able to cast another one as soon as they use their escape abilites can be critical.
Wowow, such aggression. Intervention is up? 0K, frommaplestreet presses W as Draven and almost fountain dives to kill Cait and almost get Nid before the ult wears off.

At the moment, my team is against Curse Academy for IPL6 qualifiers (?)
My team is entirely made up of 1400s... yep... who signed me up for this?

I build Crucible on Sona ... though its usually after Shurelya's, Locket, and Bulwark (if no one else is getting it) in priority. I can say it has helped turn some pretty crucial teamfights.
