so nice. Nicegame TV they make use of the replay function, too. I think its sad that the most tournaments dont use this feature more often

They do the split screen a lot when the junglers start their routes. Its really cool to watch.

No, thats not really the issue. The amount of gold in the jungle is such that it should be more than lane if you clear it well and take a small amount your lanes (seuss has blogged on it 1 2). A jungler can carry, when the opposing team (in a PRO game) says to themselves, "We need to shut this jungler down or he will stomp us" or they run another jungler that "needs to be shut down." Basically, if I put Jax top, you better shut him down, several ranged AD Carries, same thing. However, if a jungler is 1 kill and 20 minions ahead, how scared are you? Is stealing his next red buff a live or die moment? If not, the jungle is not a carry role.

If that is not what carrying is, you could not carry from any lane. The point is, if your team's jungler is ahead, and the rest of your team is even, its not nearly as useful as any other non-support character being ahead.


TLDR: Jungle Carries are Rare because setting a jungler ahead/behind is not nearly as impactful as setting a Mid/Top/Bot ahead/behind.

I personally think jungle is the easiest role to carry from because you can exert pressure on all the lanes and generally dictate when and where the teamfights happen, which is like 90% of carrying.

Case in point, I'm 87% noc and 66% amu, I wreck with junglers in soloq.

It can be done but I don't know if it's the easiest, especially in the Warmogs era we are in. Nocturne may be the exception imo, but most jungles have too build tank and lack damage late game. I still get my jungle stolen non stop, and can't farm on the level of a laner. Aside for that, I can't count how many times I hand my bot lane a double kill only to 35 seconds later hear "ENEMY TEAM DOUBLE KILL!" and again 35 seconds after that.

I am at VERY low elo (1200) so it's really hard to find players that scan snowball a lead correctly. I find when I play roaming mids I have an easier time carrying because A: I get a lot of farm, and B: I can still influence all the lanes. C: You are not expected to build as a tank in mid.

It's why I have all but given up Maokai, he relies on your teamates having a brain, a scary risk to take in solo que.

Every game I play vs a Shaco I spend like a full minute in game explaining what Shaco will do and how he will likely gank lvl 2. Almost every we give up first blood at level 2 to Shaco. QQ

that's because there very little middle ground for the champion, there is no such thing as a "relevent but not threatening to completely carry" shaco

Kind of makes you wonder how these people ever manage to form a team in the first place. If you get 3 reports per game you play, i don't see you really playing well with a team.

I always liked that there was a champion who took a lot of skill and balls to play and whose performance directly decided how the game was going to play out. It's not like many people complained, anyway. Bad Shacos simply didn't play him anymore.
If you care about your Elos that much, just ban him.
If it were up to me, there would be more champions like him in the game. This somewhat ties in to our previous melee ad carry discussion.

Also, the thing about Shaco being either completely useless or completely carrying is just a misconception. Though he certainly tends to swing way more heavily than other champions, I've still seen Shacos who did okay and were a slight disadvantage for the next 20 minutes or Shacos who got themselves and their laners kinda fed but lost due to mistakes just like any other team.
I think it's because you know that that's what people say about Shaco and you become super conscious about it. A good shaco will carry a team by himself and a bad shaco will be a big disadvantage, but there are middle grounds.

What I always thought was that there were few shacos who knew when to splitpush and when not. I saw so many shacos who got fed early but failed to do something lategame.
Often it was the team who did not know how to defend a 4vs5

I have around a 60% win rate with shaco in soloq however some games you just feel helpless using him.. basically if you pick shaco you are hoping your enemy team does not react quickly to ganks.. I had 2 games last night and i went 5-0-4 and we won easily (this is ranked) as the anivia mid reacted and stunned their karth allowing anivia to snowball and bot also snowballed with my help..
then i played one more and top cho gave up 1st blood to xin, who started to snowball.. i counter jungled amu pretty badly and was about to kill him when mid gragus (who i had already made back once prior to lvl 3) came out of nowhere and killed me (was on 300 hp as shaco has so little health). This allowed amu to level safely as our akali mid was useless. , bot also started giving up kills quickly and they had warded their jungle and the river so i could not even get close as my newbie bot was pushing 24/7..
i ended up snowballing akali mid but we lost as the second i became visable xin or MF could instagib me ended up goin 0-6-8
I think the nurfs are harsh and make him even harder to play.. and with the brusier meta i am not sure how useful he is anyway because 75% of champs can just kill him in 1/2 a second with a burst and he has no real cc..

i think shaco is one of the hardest champions to play because past level 8 everybody can kill you.. your hoping to be fed enough by level 8 that you kill them quicker than they kill you, you are also hoping the lane phase lasts long (you own this phase) and if both of these happen you get the carry shaco.. otherwise its a harrrrrrrrrrd game.

Which makes shaco annoying in your games, because the whole game is centered around him. Sure, it is probably fun for the shaco. It is quite similar in that regard, as most of the game simply revolves around them, which in my opinion makes picking them something for self-centered players. You force everyone in the game to basically tailor the whole game around you, and if you do well, you win, and if you do bad, you lose. Most people don't like that.

i just randomly want to mention that this game has one of the or maybe even THE worst communities in all gaming. That being said, it's a fun game, so i'll continue playing it anyways
