Yeah, sure, it'll try to put some of the people on my flist that play ranked too and are at the same Elo than me in my division. Cool story bro! But I don't care in the slightest. If they're on my flist, we probably play together anyway, so we have some kind of idea of who's good at what. But to measure my progression? This system just confines you to a single subset of the players and tells you "oh, look, you're closer to the higher division! It has absolutely no ties to the level of play of the other, countless divisions out there, but you can feel good about being #1 somewhere". That system may be good against ladder anxiety and shit because it lets you believe than you're becoming good and are doing fine and what not, but it stinks whenever you want to have a good idea of where you really stand compared to the rest. Fuck that. How's that "competitive"? | ||
