It's just that the players / teams feel that strong supports that do a lot of things very efficiently (versatile so picking at almost any stage of the picking phase is OK). She's still the queen of late game "peel" and movespeed is super nice. A lot of the additions of this Season 3 patch helped her less than other supports who have very high efficiency with flask or straight regen(philo) / sightstone. Her base mana pool is high, her mana regen is on par with the mana regen of other strong supports but they have low base mana pool and LESS mana cost overall on abilities make flask a lot more appropriate. Also she requires high mana on reserve to use the spells in critical situations (All abilities will cost around 100-200 higher than the stronger supports mentioned). Janna just isn't a safe pick at all because it's much tougher to meet her late game potential because of all the pressure that will come early / mid game where she is weaker. (Only checked Zyra, Sona, Lulu for the general stuff mentioned in this post gg) Also blitz has only slightly lower mana regeneration compared to Janna and his mana costs are flat across the board. more ggggg I do feel like the charge on Tornado is a problem for her. Charging up the damage is one thing, charging for utility is another.

It's amazing how hard it is to come up with these names when you're under time pressure and have no context in which to fire the neurons.

On January 16 2013 07:50 dnastyx wrote: remember when you could spec a mastery for crit chance and then you would just randomly crit once in lane and win lololol best game Basically its to get this opportunity back since now you cant actually crit unless you purchase crit, which typically is later on in the game. Its a pretty cheap way to have the possibility to crit earlier, even if the chance is pretty low. It used to be a free 4% from masteries that actually ended up ruining lanes so much that Riot had to remove it. Some people mix in a crit rune, others just stick with straight AD.

Have more fun discussion time. Sounds like the sc2 system, but with the opportunity to play a game to rank up.

Also, it seems like placement matches will matter a lot cause you need to jump so many hurdles to get promoted zzz. Also, I only got 100 champions. I didn't even remember Tundle, Trynd or Ziggs even existed lol.

This is what everyone wanted with more Ranked 5s incentives. It does look like Blizzard's system of inviting GM players to the National Championships. Isn't SoloQ is still ladder though?

Oh, what the fuck, Riot. That poor excuse for a ladder system Blizzard currently uses is just horrible. 'Better way of tracking your progress' my ass. This is what everyone wanted with more Ranked 5s incentives. It does look like Blizzard's system of inviting GM players to the National Championships. Isn't SoloQ is still ladder though? Oh come on, JBright. They've already essentially done this by taking the top 32 teams into the LCS Quals initially. Why did they need to do a complete overhaul? And what about their shiny new badges with their gem system that no one gives a fuck about?

this system seems much better, once you pass a certain milestone you don't have to play with terrible players in the tier below you, lol.
