what? How is buying a BT a big deal on any ad, its fine. BT or IE first is completely situational and they both just add a bunch of AD.

So after playing about 10 Ziggs games and got the hang of him, my conclusion is that you need an amumu on your team and then you just win.
just carried a 4v5 while going 20-5 with an amumu who clearly hadn't jungled since S2 and never built any machete items. Luckily his R finger was still functional.
honestly though, without some sort of combo for teamfights he is pretty meh, but with one very strong. His W REALLY needs a QOL buff removing the cast time, it would make playing him SO much smoother and open up a ton of actual playmaking opportunities.
I tried going chalice, and just going tear. You cant really just go tear, you dont have enough mana to charge it fast. Going both is alright in a more passive lane, archangels is really good item and you get a ton of AP later. I don't think you really have an option of not going chalice, its too core.

Well, it delays your ie and this is bad. Going pure id makes sense on carries with ad ratios, but tristana only has here auto attack. So yeah, it's not THAT bad, but you still deal less damage in the midgame where you are weak enough already. Is that worth the very short rise in power comared to the other ad?

red/blue lizard usually dies to boxes/smite while small golems i need to kill myself, i usualy do wraiths>red>blue >invade/gank but now it might actually delay my invade by crucial few seconds (extra 3xAA on every small golem can take quite some time)

i play a shitton of ziggs and i never get chalice @@
yes combos make ziggs infinitely better, any huge aoe initiate is pretty cool (malphite sona etc)

Buying a BT is fine, if you expect to leave your lane "soonish". IE improves your damage a ton compared to a BT (even if fully stacked), but the lifesteal on a BT obviously makes early teamfights far easier to survive, and in early teamfights you should be able to depend on your teammates to deal decent damage aswell. I'd say if you buy BT, you should force down their tower as fast as possible and go roam.

Should be noted that those stats are "old", the PTB was updated and the HP values aren't quite so low anymore (though still lower than on the live servers).

Like, I have no idea what to do. There is no way I can get him out of lane because of meditate, if I just sit and farm then he roams and gets kills and the jungler covers his tower before I can push it down and lategame he probably does more teamfight damage than I do anyway. Malzahar is pretty good against Yi, given he has a long range silence to eff up his meditate, not to mention a suppress. Also, playing bruisers such as Renekton and Pantheon tend to give him fits. Though mid lane is too short to kill him easily, really.

What do you build? I guess if you are guaranteed every blue you could go just tear but I never get blues so I play as if they are a nice bonus. Conserving mana is just not playing ziggs to his potential IMO, use that harass and push power and roam/take wraiths and fling shit everywhere.
Lich is actually pretty sick lategame, faaaaat nukes with passive.

Anyone here using Win8? I had to re-setup my pc and wanted to give it a try but had A TON of adobe launcher crashes ever since reinstalling lol while I never had it once under win7. Happens mostly in champselect and then I gotta wait 30-60minutes to queue again =(. Sometimes it even happens when I'm trying to login.

Same here.. Client crashed maybe 1 or 2 times but no big deal

I remember seeing a Riot post somewhere about user feedback for Windows 8 - it might be worth making a post on the official forums, or trying to find a similar one and posting there because they're definitely trying to squash Win 8 bugs.
