BotRK is a bad item compared to BT in viturally every champ, every matchup, everytime. Unless the enemies are literally stacking mogs and several of them have over 4k hp then BT is always better.

It'd be good to find a link. I think they only mean for AD carries since crit scales better with BT than Bork. BT definitely scales better with AD scaling champs than Bork in terms of damage, but the 200 damage and 100 heal you get from Bork isn't something to overlook. That's 300 damage offset and a movespeed buff, slow on your enemy whenever you want to trade. New BT is awesome now that IE is nerfed and 70 damage is almost cost efficient.
I also forgot to mention that I've started running vamp quints on many of my junglers. I decided to count the number of autos I did from my first minute of jungling against just blue and wolves (no leash about 1 minute) and it added up to 37 on Jayce. I calculated that with that kind of dps I'd be getting as much life back as I would with health regen quints. This was mostly just because I've started taking too much damage from the stupid jungle. Health regen is still better when you aren't autoattacking or you get a leash but I figure lifesteal is probably a better late game source of healing.
Regarding DoTA. I've been having a hard time getting into the game. My allies and enemies in pvp are way better than me or they just rage a lot and leave. Comp stomps are too one sided. Solo is alright. I know LoL was the same when I first started but since DoTA won't be my first moba I expect more from myself and it's just a different feeling.

You want the bilgewater for the Slow. Makes ytour bad ganks good. Then youy just upgrade whenever, I sit on it til late late game.

Except that BotRK gives you a nuke with a slow+speed boost... (It's also 100g cheaper and has a smoother buildup). If you're just buying items for stats, sure BT is better. You should be buying BotRK for the active.

BotRK's active would be a lot better if it didn't have garbage range. Gunblade increases the active range from 400->700. BotRK goes from 400->500, lol.

Hmm got to the point where I had bulwark + locket + boots 2 + ruby sightstone on sona and then decided to build a crucible and examine how it works. Lessons learned:
1. It has an animation that must reach your target to be useful, pretty much the same as sona heal
2. It removes the ignite damage but not the healing debuff.
3. If your AD has a GA, this is an insanely good item if you just sit near where they respawn and heal them the second they're up, it gives them ~350 health almost instantly, pretty much a soraka heal without the armor.
4. If you're soraka, you can instantly prop someone up over 1k health with crucible + W + R from near death or right after they revive with GA
5. it helps you win fights almost as much as exhaust does against non-ad caster bruisers since they generally only have one hard CC. Exhaust + crucible wrecks ad casters pretty hard

What is the better splitpush build for shaco:
Machete + 5 pots (200) ----> mobility boots (1000) + wriggles (1600) -----> Statikk Shiv (2500) = Total 5300 gold
or Machete (300) + 5 pots (200) ---> mobility boots (1000) + tiamat ----> Ravenous Hydra (3500) = total 5000 gold

Pretty sure that's just because they don't want it to be used as an initiation (particularly for AD carries who really shouldn't build it anyway). It's more of a defensive slow, or a followup to some other initiation method.

Then it should be 600-650 range, to make it on par with lower-range AP nukes.
500 range is pointlessly low to the point of inhibiting the item's usefulness.
