Not sure how true that is though but I think it's safe to assume that a guy like doublelift is certainly within or close to 6 figure range. I wish we could see more streaming from the Asian teams...would be very interesting to watch

Fwiw, DLift's gf is in Korea and he has okay Korean. Well, with some help from Google Translate I think.
. His Korean surpassed my skills a long time ago, it was fun to teach him the alphabet though lol. And he is not going to Korea, he is in a comfy spot atm and a future unreleased news would mean that he could go back and forth to Korea much more in Season 3 and in the near future are there any vods of him speaking korean? And does he really have a gf living in korea? I've never seen her and i watch alot of clg streams

The Solomid organization had enough money from sponsorships and streaming that they could afford to hold their weekly tournament and that gave away close to 100k over the course of several months? The team itself also won 5-6 tournaments earlier in the year so it isn't too surprising for them to make more than $200k + salary.

Another big clue is that fact that big streamers like hsgg and saint have on several occasions said that going to a tournament and therefor not streaming actualy costs them money, So yes 6 figure income for big streamers is "normal".

the salaries that players make sickens me and excites me and makes my head spin
also eff you phantomlord faux-lover trolls. only real lovers of PL like me get to talk sarcastically about him! he's the best!

So basically you're just a jealous lover who can't get over the fact that he didn't pick you up for his team and talks shit about him to hide your true feelings?

Lol was that jealous lover directed towards gator?

Love blooms in the most unlikely places.

I think we should all support Gators desire to start sending fan art and skype requests to his favorite streamer.

Whats the key to becoming a popular streamer and to become a partner with twitch/own3d?
Is it something like: Be a good/high elo player -> Consistency in streaming.
Because it seems like personality has jack shit to do with having a lot of viewers. So many streamers have such a sour/shitty personality while others barely talk.

I posted this a few pages ago and asked for opinions but didn't really get any.
What do you guys think about using 1 CDR/level Glyph on mids?
It's 0.96% CDR, which with a blue buff and 1 CDR item and masteries gets you to 39.96%. I feel like the 0.96% CDR is better than 4 more AP on a lot of champions, but in testing it's so small that I cant really tell a difference.
Thoughts?

Because it seems like personality has jack shit to do with having a lot of viewers. Personality is like 80% (random number) of getting lots of viewers. Unless you're godlike at the game (Froggen, toyz), have great commentary or a big name already, it's hard to keep up viewers with just pure play.
So many streamers have such a sour/shitty personality while others barely talk. This is all a matter of preference. Having a "sour/shitty personality" is what a lot of people like to watch. It may not be your cup of tea, but it doesn't mean that it will turn off everyone. People love watching ragers. So it's pretty much a mix of personality with a bit of everything else to compensate for that.

captain boots and banner of command did nothing for me!
i can imagine it being decent if you're playing tanky elise but tanky elise sounds like a terrible idea. on mpen build you die before your spiders can do sustained damage. maybe to most people with a brain that was obvious but i tried it out and that was the result, haha.

it's actually kinda sad though, i don't really follow the dota2 pro scene that much but the pro team rosters are so volatile compared to league. it's too bad there isn't as much money in it besides TI.

It's hard. The entertainment value comes naturally to quite a few players. Others just rehash the same thing over and over again.
Of the 50% that are watchable, a few have really great casting abilities. And fewer have the desire to stream and the skill to do it well. Also some have boobs.

Imagine the numerous kiddies that'd flock to TL that are just complete morons. This subforum's small, the number of retards aren't as high, and the attitude of most of these posters is that of an underdog. You let this forum get big and you'll undoubtedly see the influx of 12 year old morons that are even more toxic than me when I actively try to make you feel like shit. Suddenly 1 Alaric becomes 100 PrinceXizors and the forum becomes unbearable with shitbags that trash the forum with nonsense.
It's the mass mentality. Look at what SC2 did to TL. Hue
