i said that it was in the recommended items :p not that it was necessarily good though
also holy fuck, people feel so entitled when it comes to streams, fkn kids who weren't around back in the day when a live stream in general was a treasure beyond measure

I liked Hyhy in DotA although I can totally understand his move, especially most of his former team mates are in SGS (like Chawy) and pressure to have a stable career from his parents. In the DotA Documentary from Valve his parents sid he used to be A* student. Man there must be so much pressure on him.

I assume this includes the pick-up of Aphromoo and their Season 3 sub, but the tweet makes a big point about there being a major roster change...I am intrigued. Edit: Some people are speculating Hotshot retirement, that would be an interesting change.
Also talks of CLG.eu to EG going on on Twitter now.

Chin up, npnp. We (TL LoL) are better than that. Shrug off the hate.

Oh dam that's huge. Hyhy is arguing one of the best SEA along with mushi/yama(Ok not as good as them but still). A bit sad for me that SEA can't quite support both games at the moment but Hyhy had already "left" dota after TI2 so at least he's still playing professional games.

obviously I just always thought that TL in general would be the community that can stand above that shit. Like during S2 finals we all agreed that the whole lag fiasco was a shitty situation while also admitting that TI2 was the prime example of a perfectly run tournament. Meanwhile "our" Dota2 section makes childish comments like LoL has no competetive scene lol only because a player is switching.

Not everyone in our Dota 2 section is bad . Most of the good people haven't posted in that thread and prob won't so don't judge just by that thread ;(

. His Korean surpassed my skills a long time ago, it was fun to teach him the alphabet though lol. And he is not going to Korea, he is in a comfy spot atm and a future unreleased news would mean that he could go back and forth to Korea much more in Season 3 and in the near future

Vlani teach me Korean some time ok?

Surprised to hear to he actually stuck to learning korean and improved alot between all those 12 hour streaming sessions and sleep^^.

IIRC he's fluent in some form of chinese(mandarin?) so some of that definitely helps. Cuts learning most pronunciation and probably some grammar right out.

Its funny to see that DL was making a reddit post how he was kicked out of his house by his parents. And now "casually" flying between his Girlfriend and Gaming house.
I really wanna know what kind of salaries the top "stream/teams" are getting.

In the latest Loco Interview from Travis, he said that guys like Hotshot, Reginald, Oddone etc all made more money in 2012 that each member of TPA. Not sure how true that is though but I think it's safe to assume that a guy like doublelift is certainly within or close to 6 figure range.

Own3D states that large partners (the CLG network would count as one) have 3.5+USD per 1000 ad impressions. A reasonable figure to apply for adblock would be a 60% cut in ad impressions as well as countries that don't have ads. That would probably be a reasonable baseline to start from. If you dig around though, you might find screen shots of various people (SC2 players included) who've accidentally opened their partner page which states their revenues from Own3D/Twitch.
For those who want a first person account without needing to feel sneaky and dirty, Destiny has straight up talked about his revenue here. An interesting read. This post by a TwitchTV employee is also worth a read.
