False reports (and also known false reports, because the system flags people who report a lot but don't have their reports acted upon) have a different effect to real reports. It doesn't really matter, you still happen to know when you are reported which is a good thing. How is it a good thing? If you did nothing wrong, and really did nothing wrong, you'll feel the system sucks dick, cause you're being reported for something you feel you didn't do wrong. If you did something wrong, and feel you did nothing wrong, you'll feel the system sucks dick for the same reason above. If you're a troll, (aka someone who did something wrong, knew he was doing something wrong, and doesn't give a shit cause fuck you) you'll feel like you accomplished your goal, and we don't want to reward trolls for being cockgobblers. Seriously what the hell. if you have one report, from a douche who argued with everyone on the team, then you know the report is meaningless. On the other side, if you got 2-3 or even 4 report every games, then you got to ask yourself what happened, maybe you did a mystakes, and no, nobody wants to get banned, especially considered the investment some people put in this game (after 3 years, and the number of skin I have ?) so I don't see people trolling except really toxic player. At least it's way better than the current situation where you know there is a list of "toxic" players, where some people get fucking "santa baron" icon because they are not on "bad santa veigar's list". Come on, let's get serious. 1. You are overestimating how logically and with how much intelligence people look at their own actions, you see it a lot once Riot posts about their ban waves. People sincerely believe that they have done no wrong, even if they obviously have to everyone else. 2. If you hate the "kiddie" aspect of how Riot runs their game and promotions then there is a lovely game that would suit you perfectly, its called "not League of Legends" or "go to DOTA2 if you want serious business". LoL is a very cartoony, somewhat silly game, that is it's niche and it is not going to change anytime soon, if you really feel so strongly that this is bad, well then I am afraid you are playing the wrong game. This. I explained this, but I guess not well enough. People who did nothing wrong yet get reported normally are like "Wtf, what a douche." The system is stupid to these sort of people because they know that these false reports are fucking dumb. All it means to these people is that reports are kind of silly. However, the people who really do something wrong but believe they genuinely didn't think THE EXACT SAME THING AS ABOVE. Because they honestly believe they did nothing wrong. Have you not ever had that happen before? When you, in your opinion, are right? If not, what world do you live in? In both these cases, people will not heed the report as anything but a false report. There might be a few people who genuinely are ragey, and have anger management problems, and KNOW this (maybe they're actually getting profession help), who might see the report and go "hey, maybe I really was a dick, I should fix that," but honestly, how many people are really like that for real? I think I know 1 person in my life who really genuinely had those issues and would think that way. Most would be like the above with the false report reaction. Then the last group are the trolls, who are only fed through such a system. If you really think this isn't true, I don't know what world you live in, but it certainly must have rainbows and unicorns. And lets be honest, if you're raging and having a bad day, are you more likely to see the report and go
a) "Hm, I should change my behavior and act better"
OR
b) "I don't give a fuck, I'm pissed, fuck off little message box."
Maybe I just have a shorter fuse than most people, but if I'm in a mood, seeing that someone reported me, even if I know I'm raging or whatever, is likely to just send me off even more.

the ideas are horrible lol. Statement to the tribunal? Your conduct in game is your statement, if that's not good enough to sway the jury stop being such a bitch. Being told that somebody just reported me? That's REALLY not a good idea. Imagine a new player to the game jumps in, he sees the little TIP: REPORT PEOPLE AND WE'LL BAN THEM, then a dude in his game flames and rages and reports everyone. If i were them i'd conclude the trolls are armed in this game. I mean, jeez, it already freaks newbies out when people claim to be reporting them. Luckily people almost never follow through because there's no incentive for them to do so, but this would let them squeeze that extra little bit of harassment out of a game.

Absolute Legend got dropped lol. Bad PR move by Zekent to admit it imo.

I would like to get an email everytime I was reported.
I've never been banned or Tribunal'd, but I would like to see any reports I have gotten. For entertainment, and learning. I suspect any of mine were because of a bad game, prolly when I was learning a new champ.

More like community needing some blood and they were the sacrifice instead of people wanting prevention in place. Rather sickening how bad we as people are. I doubt anything more is going to come from this which is pathetic, much like the IWD ban. I mean did Soaz get any Riot "punishment" after getting a 2 month ban(Think it was 2 but could be mistaken)

what do you mean admit, they were stupid enough that somehow a screenshot of the skype convo was leaked, would you recommend to stay silent and deny it?

Wait is there currently a way to know how many times you are/were reported or are you guys just talking about this hypothetical new feature? I don't think it would do good for the previously listed reasons. Trolls will just use it as a "well I did my job at trolling" and could even use it to avoid banning cause they can track their reports and ease off when they know they have some heat on them. This also might increase reporting overall as people will follow through with reporting threats because they know people will see the message.

Has anyone else been watching this chaox marathon? The first few were good but now he just does customs against people watching the stream. Don't really feel like I'm learning anything watching him stomp nubs, and he just ridicules them as if they are at his level -_-

I saw the screenshots. All I saw was Unstoppable cheating, not the whole team.
Unstoppable, as far as I know, is not even an official member of aL. Zekent could have claimed that aL had no knowledge of the incident. Sure, we can reasonably deduce that the entire aL are involved even if Zekent did not admit to it (because haters gonna hate), but to admit it is a HUGE betrayal of the fans of aL.

hypebeast is definitely not attempting to go, seeing as their support just signed with TD so yeah, might be a few more slots for other teams but do you really think you could make it through this tourney? most of the top teams are at least decent. who's on your squad?

Yea it's hit or miss. Custom game matchmaking not the best. I still think it beats waiting for all those que times (on Annie he was at like 14 minute wait in que), and the possibility of someone picking what he wants.
I feel like I have learned quite a bit personally.
Edit: That Panth game was just ugly though, that Cho was SOOOOOO far over his head as well as WW. Seems like their only decent player was the Karth.

@gtrsr, dont know about rest but i know nerf/pheerme were trying to qualify. I think I could've made it if I put together a decent team, which doesn't mean much I guess. I wanted to play with only people I knew, but then I couldn't always get 5, so I had to ask random people from 408 bible camp and solo queue, most of whom had really bad attitudes for 5s.

I watched a couple yesterday, but it eventually just turned into "watch the stream for a chance to play with Chaox." Like in his MF game he just built 3 Bloodthirsters or something, because he was up 150~ to 50~ CS on a Tristana.
Then the next few games he kept getting the same 2k+ player on his team while the other team had unranked players, so even though he was playing something like Nami mid for his first time ever, he still won.

I don't see how being able to make a statement to the tribunal would be a "horrible idea". Being able to defend oneself is an important part of a just punishment system. At the moment, the accuser could basically lie about anything that would not be seen in the logs. For example, if someone starts flaming in the postgame lobby, or obviously trolls in the pregame lobby, i will state that in the report with a description or quote of what they said. I am pretty sure that the people judging the tribunal do not completely ignore such a statement. I am a honest person, thus i only write stuff in there that is actually true. However, someone could very well just make up random shit, and the accused would be unable to respond in any way to that.
I have never been banned or warned by the Tribunal, and i don't fear that it will happen because i know that my behaviour in game does not warrant it. However, i fail to see how transparency and a right to defend yourself could ever be a bad idea.

Sure, Unstoppable wasn't an official member of aL, but the rest of the team didn't really do their best to stop him.
