Yea that account of his was permabanned he plays on Karnesh now. Yea that is the impression most people are under because that's when he was infamous. Granted he really isn't relevant now, however he has mellowed out a bit. At least from what I saw when he was streaming their 5's last night. He didn't really do anything impressive but listening to their communication was refreshing. Though from what I've seen in the NESL pro series they can't compete with top tier NA teams. However with this format depending on their true seed I would give them a good shot at making the offline portion of the event.

Also, Lyte has said on the forums that they don't want to implement this because people who aren't toxic might have some sort of shock reaction or something to it. Can't find the original post since it wasn't in the 1% of Toxic Players Banned thread, but I do recall that post somewhere.

I think a far better thing would be when someone gets punished that you reported you should get a message saying so. That way you at least feel like you doing something.

Also, it doesn't tell you if the report was correct or not. False reports (and also known false reports, because the system flags people who report a lot but don't have their reports acted upon) have a different effect to real reports.

One thing i feel is distincly missing is some way to actually give a statement to the tribunal if you are the accused. I think something that allows for that would greatly improve the system. At the moment, only the accusers get to make a statement (though they rarely use this right, at least most of the tribunal cases i see are completely without any statements), which i think is part of why the tribunal system is viewed as shady by a lot of people. That, and adding post and pregame chats would be very important additions.
You don't need to know about every time some guy reported you if you know that you will be able to make a statement if you actually end up in tribunal. This way, if you think that the way you acted was correct, you get to explain that. There is a certain amount of fear in a system where people state that they report you all the time, and you know that you can get punished without ever getting to say a single word to anyone based on those reports which you think are not justified, but where the reporter can spread any lies he wants to.

How is it a good thing? If you did nothing wrong, and really did nothing wrong, you'll feel the system sucks dick, cause you're being reported for something you feel you didn't do wrong. If you did something wrong, and feel you did nothing wrong, you'll feel the system sucks dick for the same reason above. If you're a troll, (aka someone who did something wrong, knew he was doing something wrong, and doesn't give a shit cause fuck you) you'll feel like you accomplished your goal, and we don't want to reward trolls for being cockgobblers.

serious question: was there some streamer or something lately that was running jungle tp/smite yi lately? cause i've seen roughly 1 in every other game for the last week and its rather annoying cause they all die instantly

1. You are overestimating how logically and with how much intelligence people look at their own actions, you see it a lot once Riot posts about their ban waves. People sincerely believe that they have done no wrong, even if they obviously have to everyone else.
2. If you hate the "kiddie" aspect of how Riot runs their game and promotions then there is a lovely game that would suit you perfectly, its called "not League of Legends" or "go to DOTA2 if you want serious business". LoL is a very cartoony, somewhat silly game, that is it's niche and it is not going to change anytime soon, if you really feel so strongly that this is bad, well then I am afraid you are playing the wrong game.

I got 2 bans and 3 warning, never been reported by more than 1 guy each game. Never. In all the cases I've been given.
The system is not completly unjust, but the problem is the community. In DotA you have close to no bans and WAY less flaming.

This.
I explained this, but I guess not well enough.
People who did nothing wrong yet get reported normally are like "Wtf, what a douche." The system is stupid to these sort of people because they know that these false reports are fucking dumb. All it means to these people is that reports are kind of silly.
However, the people who really do something wrong but believe they genuinely didn't think THE EXACT SAME THING AS ABOVE. Because they honestly believe they did nothing wrong. Have you not ever had that happen before? When you, in your opinion, are right? If not, what world do you live in?
In both these cases, people will not heed the report as anything but a false report.
There might be a few people who genuinely are ragey, and have anger management problems, and KNOW this (maybe they're actually getting profession help), who might see the report and go "hey, maybe I really was a dick, I should fix that," but honestly, how many people are really like that for real? I think I know 1 person in my life who really genuinely had those issues and would think that way. Most would be like the above with the false report reaction.
Then the last group are the trolls, who are only fed through such a system.
If you really think this isn't true, I don't know what world you live in, but it certainly must have rainbows and unicorns.
The system currently obviously isn't perfect. The tribunal + reporting is genuinely flawed due to the community as a whole being involved in that, and even though it's riot employees who actually hand out the bans based off what they think of a case, they're still humans and might not see the full picture. Even so, your suggestion of showing people they were reported holds no value to benefit anyone but feed the trolls egos.

I am kind of annoyed by the Santa baron icon, mostly because being the good little summoner that I am I've still yet to receive it. I've accepted it but it does confuse me as to why I was not given such.
