Assuming Liandry procs right after the spell damage, a DoT ticking once a second would have 2 ticks (the first one, then 0.5s later) and override the following, so... | ||

My reasoning is that you have to pay 700 upfront for 100 health and a couple of wards. In theory, it pays itself off after ~5 wards. However, rushing it means you trade a philo or locket/aegis parts for 100 hp (not to mention you have to scrounge up 700gp at once). My question is: is it worth the delayed gold advantage, or is it better to pay less now, pay more later? | ||

I seem to remember hearing there is a console command to force the UI to reload, is that correct? And if so, how do I do it for future reference? (I ended up needing to leave the game and rejoin which set me back a little.) | ||

Assuming you have 2 wards up at all time, this is higher gp/10 than philo. But it doesn't really build into anything (Ruby Sightstone gives max of 12.5g/10s), so that's the price you have to pay for it. Philo and Kage's build into great support items with good stats. Ruby Sightstone gives you little stats, but if you use it well the g/10s equivalence would be more than what you would get out of philo/kage's. Imo it's better to get sightstone early on, since the main reason you will want hp is for when your lane gets ganked, which is what sightstone will negate. 2 Wards are able to close off river and lane ganks. Of course there are lanes where you constantly fear for your life, where I would prefer earlier stats and flask over the sightstone. But imo sightstone should be core on supports, along with either philo or kage's (could even be both if you're really rich). | ||

I guess it all comes down to if you value the gold to accelerate other purchaseables over not spending some/all of that gold on wards. The free wards are a subverted gold advantage. Who is Vman? | ||

The bonus health plus the wards only take up one spot, which can become important later on when inventory spots are at something of a premium. I think its undoubtably worth it on supports. There are some jungles where it makes a decent replacement for HoG, too, but it should by no means be an insta-buy for them. I just worry that non-supports/junglers will by fewer wards now because they're "free" to the folks who buy the sightstone. | ||

either not enough money, or so much you can buy a way better item +wards. You don't need to go sightstone every game. It's a great item, but not a necessity. Once I bought ~3 rounds of wards already, I often decide it's just not worth it anymore, and just keep buying normal wards. | ||
