I think riot is smarter than that. If I were going to design an AP->CC, it would be something like Tides of Disruption Damages and slows enemy champions in a cone by x/x/x/x/x% for 1.5s (+0.5s per 100 AP), with the slow effect wearing off over the duration. Or, something like Deep freeze Freezes water in a line, dealing damage and stunning enemy champions for 1.5s (+0.5s per 100 AP, up to a maximum of +1s)

get level 3, gank top/their jungler and then constantly look for opportunities to gank if you end up wasting your time and the gank isn't succesful, ask yourself why it wasn't and apply the knowledge for your next ganks if you do it like this you will find yourself underfarmed most of the games (unless you're really good already for some reason), but with time and experience, you will only start making plays that are able to be made and find more time for farming like even if im maokai and see a play to be made top, ill simply go there, ganks op the reason why u dont see as many ganks on higher levels of play is because there are less plays available, but that doesnt mean that you shouldnt gank when they do, in fact, exist

Randomly I won't be able to watch Own3d streams at all, I just get a black screen regardless of how many times I refresh the page but Twitch streams pop up instantly. Try lowering the resolution. I know I can't watch St Vicious stream at 720p, but can at 480.

Riot tags champs according to what they're designed around, we call champions according to where we'd stick them in the current meta.

So when they say they mean support in the first sense, not the second, they're not excluding the second sense, they're saying it's not the complete definition they're using. I'm absolutely certain she's intended to go bot. It's pretty basic english. basic english? are you serious? nice underhanded insult. there is nothing that says support heroes are a subset of support in bot lane. honestly riot has no idea what they are talking about. i don't see how zyra isn't a support hero. by their definition: Support characters are defined by being assisters and enablers for their allies – this is the core “support psychology” we want to achieve. Zyra, while able to play the support role, is not a support champion by these definitions – she’s more like a mage with an off-spec. i don't see how a bind (E) and a popup (R) and a slow (WE plants) are not assists/enablers. because they have good AP ratios? i don't know. i am hoping that nami can be played in multiple lanes but i wouldn't be surprised if they try to pigeonhole her into a role. it's interesting to have support characters in solo lanes, like zilean/morg/janna, and that their role in teamfights is partially sustained damage but also partially support.

I have a pseudo tier list of ganking ability based on whether they're farm based (counterjungle tier), can gank top (tier 1), mid (tier 2) or bot (tier 3). Limiting myself in this way prevented me from overthinking whether I should be ganking or not when I was inexperienced in jungle Examples: counterjungle tier: Shyvanna / Mundo Top: Pre-6 Skarner, Pre-6 Amumu, Olaf Mid: Pre-6 Noct, Maokai Bot: Shaco, Post-6 Nocturne, Post-6 Skarner

Edit: Yeah, Zyra definitely falls into there "second" dentition of support. Maybe they are just in denial.

The biggest problem I have with Riot, is they're designing champs with the meta in mind, rather than just designing cool champions, and letting people figure them out themselves.

Honestly, they've been wrong more often than they've been right with regard to their support designs. I'd say a majority of their "wrong" champs for support came out awhile back. Nowadays they more or less get it, they're just too stubborn to change their ideas on old champs. Lulu was intended support and that worked out fine. Zyra I'd argue is still plenty viable mid so I'm tempted to not lump her into the "was released AP mid but is better support" group. This champ will probably be a good support. Question though, why would people think they'd put AP scaling CC on her when they intend on her being support? Surely you wouldn't incentivize a support building pure AP, unless you want them to be mid,

Nunu isn't listed as a support despite BloodBoil being a fantastic buff (Nid is listed as one for her heal, not her AS buff). Leona, Amumu, etc. are supports because of their cc, for example. Maokai's ult is a great defensive supportive tool. But Mao doesn't "directly" (ie click'n'point) buff his allies, Leona mostly allows offensive actions through her cc. That's this kind of stuff. Now I don't stay that they use the wording correctly, nor that they have a good idea of what "supporting" is. But when following their definition nonetheless, it's pretty coherent with itself.

That is the line of thinking that led them to constantly label Morello's as a support item.
