man, I'm pretty fed up with Syndra, I always end up like 0-0 with double or triple the other mid's CS after laning, but Actually killing people with her is so fucking hard if they arent a retard. I havent had any ganks so thats all I can do, and i don't really blame them as I push pretty hard a lot. Then we just end up losing the game as top and bot fed and i cant carry with her.
I just laned against an evelyn who went swift boots, obviously I cant land shit on her, but I was 168CS to 53CS...we still lost. Very frustrating.
I think she may be a pretty poor champ for soloque, but I bet she work much better in a tourney setting.

Get 2 orbs out, ulti dfg in the middle of ulti then use E to stun her W and Q while stunned and ignite if you have to.

Even if they're not going to win the whole thing they'd be well rewarded for getting as far as possible.
Hell, even finishing 2nd-last in your group is double the prize of finishing dead last, lol.

Yeah, I think so too. The best they can do is doing well in group but thats about it. But we'll never know. Last year World Champion was Fnatic and look where they are now -_-.

Okay, played my first blind just for fun. Double jungle khazix, both went glass cannon+GA builds, and my god do they truck squishies, especially isolated ones. Both of them got to 6 items, wait for an engage, and then do their best leblanc impersonations. Not enough data to tell, but blue->fast red-> jump gank is scary as all hell, especially when you're just starting the game and don't have wards yet. Damage is up there with leesin, and you have to land an auto(not hard with jump) instead of walking up E-ing to apply slow.

I'm convinced ELO Hell exists in this game. I did the mistake back when I just hit level 30 and was totally noob to play rankeds. Now i've carried myself up from the high 700's ELO to 900, but the people who play here are so so so bad. How are you supposed to carry yourself up from there?
Example 1) Someone picks yi, and is afk for the first 4 minutes, when he comes back first thing he writes "i feed" and proceeds to do that.
Example 2) Happens in almost every match in this ELO, tower divers. They will ALWAYS chase low HP enemy and usually get themselves killed and another team mate too. Pinging then to fall back does not help.

Cant win all games, especially when you have afk. Other than that, play your best champ (if he can kill people its better) and win, if you are really better than enemy team you will be able to win most of the games you play. If you cant win games and carry your team, dont blame others for poor play or being bad, blame yourself for sucking hard and improve. If i can give you one advice its that : dont look what others do wrong, focus on your own mistakes. (and dont bitch in chat)
Oh and low elo is where you can make absurd come backs even being 20 kills behind, dont give up.

Even after the buffs, Syndra requires more work than any other champion to set up her damage (short of heimerdinger, maybe), and it's still mediocre at best. I really like the feel of the champ but I can't justify playing her

At that elo, you MUST farm champions AND minions. Get yourself fed to the point where the other team can't do anything. Playing very heavy snowballer's is heavily recommended(people who do a lot with early champion kills, not necessarily the strongest ones in lane, Garen, GP, renek, tryn, vayne etc.). Lane strength&counterpicking doesn't really matter because people misplay so much.
I've played games on a low elo friend's account, and elo hell does not in fact exist. Picking vayne into cait, I can auto the cait more than he autos me(even with the range advantage). I could pick morg and just snowball mid because the other guy can't dodge bindings. People make absolutely terrible decisions. Blind aggression, not warding, bad last hitting, poor mechanics etc.
|
Yeah pick something that can easily snowball vs a lower skilled enemy:
Fiora, Xin, Rengar, Fizz, Ezreal, Vayne to name a few of my favorites. Its still gonna be heavy to carry, but for example a good Ezreal with red can kite 5 people all day

I find the Elo Hell discussion funny. If people are really bad at that elo, worse than you, there's 5 chances the AFK yi appears on the other team and 4 chances he can appear on yours. Central limit theorem that shit and mass games to gain elo freely. The reality is that there are holes in your own game that keep you "stuck" for many games below where you think you ought to be.

Yes i'm aware of this. But does this take into account the times your forced to play support? This morning I played 2 rankeds and both of the times I was last pick >_< Ended up losing both games. Oh well, might as well wait for next reset because this aint fun anymore. Should just stick to those premades

Play battlecow, get unkillable, max out cdr, stick a sheen somewhere in there, manmode them all.

As someone who has been in "elo hell" for a while and went from 850 to 1050 recently, the best advice I can give you is to stop giving a fuck. Yes, you get afks and feeders and stuff sometimes, but so does the other team. The law of averages balances out. The biggest thing for me is that most people on my team are dumb, and annoying and they irritate my soul. I learned to (mostly) ignore them and it works for me.
The other piece of advice I can give you is to play with people better than you. Arguably the biggest flaw in my play before was that I wasn't aggressive enough, especially when I had an advantage. I never knew when I should be aggressive, and when I did, I was too much of a pussy to do so. After playing with some people I know who are actually good, they were able to point out what I was doing wrong and now I'm not afraid to try things, because even if I fail, I learn from the experience. I actually love to play support now because I realize how easy it is to bully people around at this elo. Taric is like instawin in bot if I can get him.
tl;dr losing elo is temporary, getting better lasts forever so stop giving a fuck about what your team does

I have never played at 900 Elo (I am really curious to try) but I did play at 1100. Basically if you are sufficiently more skilled than your peers you will easily raise Elo, because regardless if some Yi goes 0-5 in lane, so long as you can go 5-0 in lane you can still carry the game, provided you picked the right champion for the job.

I agree with the aggressive part. A problem for me has been that I play quite passively, not taking any risks. This is fine when you are inexperienced or maybe playing against someone much better than you. When playing someone you feel/know you are better than, or playing a favorable matchup, you need to press that advantage. You need to make an impact on the game.

Actually, enemy team is more likely to have FEWER good players on their team in general, as long as you are good 100% of the time (even good support is of SOME use in low elo games)
Just as an example, one guy on EUW LiquidParty went 25-2 or something like that from 666 elo upwards.

The worse the rest of the people are, the better you are in comparison. I remember when I lost the first 4 games on a freshly-turned lvl30 smurf, then got lastpick, and the opponents were so bad i could 1v2 them with support Janna, while zoning them off the creeps AND killing their Ez (who proceeded to go 0/11 or something in this game), while my ADcarry missed ~half his last hits too, but 40 at 10 mins was still 40 more than the opponent had.
That is to say, if you actually are BETTER than those people, you will find a way to shit on them. #elohellisalie
