Ugh. Nautilus Q just went right through a Jayce and it didn't hook him. I know Naut's Q is bugged (hooks people when they are behind you, so you can't use it as an escape), but I wonder if it's a hitbox thing like Lux's ult? :/

TBH it's not that hard theoretically, it's just a linear skillshot. It's just that I rely on smartcast indicators too much that I can't aim without the arrow (this is not saying I can land things WITH the arrows, but still).

I'm not trying to start an argument, and I don't plan on trying to reach gold or any other status by any other means other than solo queuing, but I just wanted to see why you believe that this would be cheating.
Cheating to me is a little more sinister. Maphacking, drophacks, etc. Whereas boosting your ELO with the help of a higher rated friend doesn't seem to be cheating at all. It may cheapen your LoL experience sure, but smurfing in 1200s also cheapens other players LoL experience, and in my opinion it's worse than boosting.
If the duo queuing system allows for high and low level players to duo, just like it allows for infinite accounts to smurf and smash baddies, then it can't be considered cheating.
EDIT: Nevermind. I see this was related to ranked 5's more than anything. Yea that's a little more shady.

I actually assumed it was following the rules, and that people were actually just joining a high rated team and playing games -- but I guess the only way to ensure that everyone gets 5 wins on a team above their level is if smurfing is involved.
Which I don't do for the same reason I don't buy RP (wanna earn everything through playing), but it's not like there haven't been other threads for organizing this kind of thing before.

I may never get to break 1700 with my current skill, after one year of LoL with 400 normals and around 200+ ranked games this season, I still don't know what role I can play best -_-, may be thats why I stuck at 1600+.
Also, is there any in-depth guide for counter jungling? And does counter-jungle a must for my elo? I sometime got destroyed by the enemy jungler as I never counter(cos I don't know how).

basiclly you can try to go for wraiths, golems, wolves when you see the enemy jungler on the map. Depending on his position and yours you can get one camp.
You should try to remember which route the jungler will choose and try to suprise him.
