If you end up with a pokey champ (gragas/lux/brand/etc) you just don't buy boots. Also works good with like shen or alistar where you just stack aura items.
You dont need boots at all on many champs, lane is tiny and you just end up pacing 99% of the time. I can still dodge shit no problem and you can do crazy damage when you dont delay your first big item at all. Especially like gragas, you have absolutely no need for boots on him at all. Or just open chalice + boots with such champs and never even need to worry about mana while still being able to kite, reposition, and dodge skill shots easily. I've finished a lot of aram with still those 2 starting items... >_>
Play Mundo - start with 3 hp5 amulett - run around like just dont care
in the beginning of the game regen items are the best.

1. How is Singed a hypercarry? 2. Does anyone know of a place where they did the math that causes people to not buy Phantom Dancers when they have a Nunu on the team? Singed isn't, he's a midgame carry who when fed can basically speedpush everything while being unkillable and killing everything in teamfights. He falls off pretty hard late, though. Weird about the PD because I wouldn't assume that Nunu is hugging me the whole game. As much as I like Singed, this is pretty true. He can be very good for peels though, but outside of an amazing fling he does fall off late game. Also, unless you're playing a highly mobile carry and assume the Nunu is going to sit on you forever, I wouldn't advise not getting PD either. There are certain situations where it could be justified, like the Triforce into big BF items, but those are the exceptions. It certainly shouldn't be impacted by just having a Nunu though. I always thought the Crit would be pretty important as well. Maybe not? Crit is really important. A crit chance of 8% once you get IE is a 12% increase in dps assuming no crit damage runes. On the opposite spectrum an ashe at level 18 with IE has 178 damage. Probably more since everyone's infatuated with damage runes and masteries. At 185 AD, ashe needs 22 damage to get a 12% increase in dps. With just serkers greaves and levels an ashe needs 22% attack speed to get that 12% increase in dps. You'll notice that both sources are more expensive than crit. Aspd is a horrible stat to stack. Not only does it have diminishing gold returns if you stack one stat too much, but also it has an inherent diminishing return because of how it's always based off of base attack speed and you gain attack speed with levels. It's also why Riot put all the strong AD steroids into attack speed, so if you had a team with nunu and warwick, you wouldn't have a kogmaw wrecking face with an IE.
So. Executioners calling + Triforce if Aspeed is so diminishing returns?

Is it just me, or do duo queues who go bot seem to always be really sub par? You'd think with communication it'd be better, but it never seems that way.

Well, a lot of times duo queues get their MMR boosted above one/both of the players' skill range -- presumably to compensate for the communication, but unfortunately mechanics are pretty important botlane. When I duo'd with my friend chipsahoy, we had a lot more success when he jungled and just ganked my lane.
Alternately, duoing with a smurf is completely broken -- you just destroy people since the random factor of your teammates' skills is that much smaller, and their elo is still higher than you and your partner's because of the MMR boost. Meanwhile the other team will have lower rated players (somewhere in between the duo and the 3 pubs).

Lulz, wreck Olaf top so hard that he sells all of his shit and fills his inventory with wards.
Quality playstyles here people.
They become so scared of the yeti that they focus me and allow MF to get a quadra and penta. I enjoy this game sometimes.

I don't understand -- are you expecting people playing at an Elo below their true skill to be balanced?

I don't understand -- are you expecting people playing at an Elo below their true skill to be balanced? Nah, just pointing out that a duo with a smurf breaks the entire 5v5, since each of the other three teammates will all have a higher average elo than their lane opponents, due to the MMR boost and 'team rating' mechanics. This is what causes the "90%/10%" Dgiese mentioned, since duo queues are usually lower rated than both their teammates and opponents, but occasionally much higher.

If your team has a duo, the opposing team typically also has a duo. Guess where duos like to play.......?
So yea, it's almost 50-50.

Whenever I duo I much rather prefer mid/top/jungler than double bot. I mean yeah sure the communication and coordination would be better bot, but I'd much rather play the champions in the other lanes. Then again ADC is a great role to carry in 'cause you're very relevant mid and late game, but I can't stand those long games for ranked. Too risky.

No reason you can't snowball bot lane just as hard as any other lane. just take taric / leona / blitz + any ad except ashe or cait.
Trist taric blue start? Take golems, all in when you hit 2 15 secs before them, laugh all the way to the bank.

I am the 10%! 6-2 with my duo in ranked. Helps that he mains support, I guess.

I've had a lot more success duo Qing bottom lane when we pick aggressive lanes like leona corki, taric sivir and the like compared to running janna/soraka/sona bottom. Not to say we don't run them but either gunning for lategame with nunu+vayne/cait/ashe/kog or gunning for early win is the most successful method we've had of winning bottom lane.

But the dynamics and overall playstyle in bot lane are different than top/mid. The overall champion pools are also different, I just don't like ADC or support. I'd much rather be brawling and disrupting instead of skirting the fight for that perfect positioning while maintaining highest dps/utility. It's just a preference thing, I hate having others initiate fights for the team, esspecially in ranked.
