If you end up with a pokey champ (gragas/lux/brand/etc) you just don't buy boots. Also works good with like shen or alistar where you just stack aura items. You dont need boots at all on many champs, lane is tiny and you just end up pacing 99% of the time. I can still dodge shit no problem and you can do crazy damage when you dont delay your first big item at all. Especially like gragas, you have absolutely no need for boots on him at all. | ||

Or just open chalice + boots with such champs and never even need to worry about mana while still being able to kite, reposition, and dodge skill shots easily. I've finished a lot of aram with still those 2 starting items... >_> | ||
