Nobody else goes f1f2f3f4f5? Man, I feel old from doing that constantly in BW.

I'm sure all the WoW players do, f1-f5 targets the players in your party in that game

Yesterday...? That was the fake leak. Season 2 isn't over yet, and won't be until the finals in October. Even after it's "over" there will probably be a month or so before Season 3 actually starts and the rankings reset.

I never use the f# keys, but then I didn't use them in WoW either. Mouseover macros ftw.

What should I do to become more map aware? I obviously know that I need to periodically look at the minimap, but I always find myself forgetting sometimes, especially when I am trying to make a play of some sort or distracted for some reason. What should I do to train myself so I can consistently look at the minimap? Any suggestions?

Put a sticky on your monitor.

I suggested to people that people put micro macro harass expand in BW. Though there really isn't much to do during laning other than look at minimap and game summary for cs/items, etc.

When I read your post, the first thing I thought of was: if you can remember to look at that sticky on your monitor often enough, you can look at the minimap in the first place...

Play soraka, and aim to get an assist in every kill that happens post-6.

You have to put sticky notes in places you would normally look, so you'd want it in the lower left, by your inventory and gold, or maybe the upper right, by your k/d/a and creep score.

If you watch gosu.zuna's stream, he spams f1-f5 all laning phase long as jungler and plays at BW APM because of it. However doing so makes him miss stuff sometimes cuz hes switching screens too fast and not staring at the minimap, and because hes not a bw player. Just get used to staring at the minimap, there's really not a lot of mechanics to this game, even as AD you can see the whole map, and there's a HUGE difference between players who see the whole map and ones who don't. You can get up high in solo queue without having the habit of knowing what's going on around the map especially if you're playing AD or top but when it comes to 5s it means having to basically readjust your whole game.

Wait, you're saying that using F1-5 for increased map awareness as a jungler makes you have LESS map awareness than just looking at minimap? I'm not saying to use it instead of looking at the minimap... But there's a lot of information you don't see by staring at the minimap (Health of everyone in the lane), and other info that you can pick up faster by looking at the actual lane (such as how big the creep wave is on each side, which can tell you if the lane will be gankable by the time you get there)

Gonna have to disagree, actually looking at what's going on in a lane, especially when you're a jungler clearing camps, has a lot of potential.

you can tell wave by looking at minimap, the only you thing you cant tell is health, obviously I do both but I never spam because it means you're not staring at the minimap. There's some information that's critical but happens in less than a second, such as, when a jungler holds mid and backs off does he got top or bot? Did the mid just come from my wraiths or or his mid brush to ward? You can only catch those things if you either stare at mid or stare at the minimap, and obviously staring at the minimap is better. For health bars, solos will trade before their health gets low, when they trade their icons clash together, and when that happens i'll look and remember.

To be fair I know 1 lol couple where both parties are competent players, and that's xpecial and yoonie. They both play support.

To be fair Xpecial is a baller and plays support because he was the best at it when TSM started. I've heard he can beat Regi and Dyrus in a 1v1.

Well, I used in in BW with F2 on production facilities and F3 on rally point. I don't really use it in LoL though, not enough apm needed, I just click the mini map, use space bar to get back to my champ.

Exhausting the support means that the support has -10 armor/mr which is pretty significant but exhausting the AD means that I'm at a much lower risk of dying and having it turn out to be a support kill exchange which isn't particularly beneficial.

At higher levels, exhausting the AD is a given but at low levels I'm mixed as to who's the better person to exhaust, especially if it's a support that's inherently tanky.

don't do that, pick Leona in lanes where your cc > theirs. for example, against taric, you ought to fuck with taric til he tosses the stun at you, then immediately jump/exhaust their carry. sona is probably the only support you have more kill potential on than on the enemy carry. Soraka, Janna, Taric, Ali, Blitz, Nunu, etc are all less likely than their partner carry to be burst down early in lane

bait cc through positioning -> force trades that are vastly in your favor

Yea, he's a really good AP mid, but probably not compared to someone like Chauster (who also mains support).

Against any support with kill potential I only engage at lvl 2 as Leona if we have either a level or cooldown advantage. If I miss that timing I simply wait until lvl 3 where Leona gets a big increase in her survivability and damage. She isn't at her strongest at lvl 2 anyway,

As for exhaust it depends on what you need it for. For pure kill potential I'd want to use it on whoever my target is but if I'm in any risk of losing the trade I'll use it on the AD carry.

Anything else you would like to say?

I want to thank my girlfriend for coming with me today, my mother for cheering for me, and I want to wish SK Gaming's LoL team a good luck since they've been doing really well recently. If I end up sucking in the near future I will head over to the LoL's team house and do the dishes there (laughs). I hope they will watch over me. But if the LoL team starts sucking, I'm going to prepare a lot of dishes for them to wash on my end (laughs).

It's good to see MC getting along well with SK' LoL team. :D
