On second thought, Shen can do everything of that too, has a ranged harass and global ult. But wouldn't Rammus be tankier without items with his skills? With gold Shen is superior for sure, but in a 0 cs meta support? Also, long as fuck single target taunt vs pretty short aoe taunt...

Rammus support I can agree it can sucks, because rammus needs a shittons of items to tank, and if not he is just useless. But there is something I would like to ask, I played volibear support with friends a bit and it was really great. Was it a fluke too ? Anybody ever tried it ?

What do we like about Ashe+Rammus bot lane?
Ok, so what do we not like?
So let's see if we can fix this and try and create a lane that does the same thing but with more consistency. First, let's change Rammus for another champion who can CC but still provide zoning control. Leona is also tanky and has defensive steriods, provides more burst damage, has lots of CC and has a gap closer. Sounds good. Now what about Ashe. Replacing her means you lose CC at level 6 but Leona more than makes up for it with her Solar Flare at lvl 6. So get someone with more burst and a smoother power curve who reliably proc Leona's Passive and help in an all-in situation. Let's say, Corki. In other words, Rammus+Ashe is a less consistent version of Leona+Corki. Caitlyn shuts him down with traps though. Makes him eat free damage all day. Also needs an AD that can follow up on him properly. But mang, Voli is tanky and annoying even with few items. Get baited by passive all day.

Powerball is countered by wards or by simply standing amongst minions and dashing out just before Rammus arrives. Most supports also have abilities which make it difficult to land or make anything out of a Powerball, and Rammus is vulnerable while rolling. It could work in theory, but ultimately it seems like an inferior version of Leona support. e;fb by the not MoonBear.

but yeah the way moonbear puts it makes sadly sense. like ls said a couple pages back: if you wanna win, no sense in doing anything less than optimal in any given situation =/

I can say that I'd honestly rather have a support voli than a ranged AD Cait late in the game, lol.
