Or I could play to win without getting my anus all bruised up over some guy getting mad at me? You can not get butthurt and still wish for a nicer atmosphere. I personally would enjoy a friendlier atmosphere, would you not? Not really~ It's sort of the gaming way... It's sort of how community is. I guess I'm just nostalgia fagging it up, but back in the days of CS, and CS:S, the trash talk was fucking amazing. Some of the funniest and wittiest lines of trash talk was said through the mic. It was glorious, either you could stand your ground with the trash talk or you just didn't say shit, it was awesome. Also, I hate the whole "nice community" bullshit, that's just a load of shit. It's so fucking fake. Essentially people want normal people to "act" nice, they don't actually want a nice community. They just want a community that "acts" it. And you know what? FUCK THAT SHIT. The internets always been about being true to itself. I deal with enough fucking fake ass personas in the real world, I don't need the internet to turn into a circlejerk of fake ass people. Fakes? On the internet? That would NEVER happen, right!? lolololol
And I dunno man, I kind of agree that I like some people to be ragey little kids cause it's funny as hell sometimes. Especially really low elo players who all are exactly the same yelling racial slurs and talking shit cause they're bad. But on the other hand if I'm actually trying I'd prefer a person to not be a ragey moron cause it just gets in the way of your play. It's like an annoying little fly, always buzzing around and being annoying, never shutting up and just leaving you alone so you can play.

I am asking this because I saw Alex Ich building it in a lot of different champions recently, but I don´t see it that often in competitive play. Imo it's a must buy on every champ once they hit ~400 AP and want more offense. The added burst damage is extremely valuable.

thanks for the bot lane help guys, i will start banning blitz and try picking up graves the problem is never my last hitting - i mean i'm playing in the 1300s, everyone there is bad, i win the cs battle by 20+ every laning phase. the problem is just as soon as my opponent makes an aggro move, i'm not sure how to respond. sometimes i run and live. sometimes i stand and fight and live. but most times i run and die or fight and die. even when playing corki. i guess i should just duo it up with someone and get a feel for more exchanges. also phosphorous bomb is hard as hell to hit wtf
as for the internet rage thing, i think it's safe to say that most competitive people who are in the game to win it (i.e. most of us on TL) are mature enough to not let ragers get to them, and mature enough not to fly off the handle at someone for making a mistake. the thing is, it feels like the lol population is primarily 12-to-14-year-olds, and THEY are just bundles of hormones and emotions and angst at their parents; when someone ELSE on your team makes a mistake, your teammates are going to blow their lid off onto THEM. that's when the problems start. if there was an ignore button you could make so that teammate X couldn't hear teammate Y, i would win every game. i have no problem staying calm, i just need a way to help my teammates stay calm (by blocking my other teammates from communicating with them)

^learn graves first, learn how bot lane works
Then play trist and destroy everyone
If anyone likes I can 1v1 them bot for a feel, though supports and junglers are indeed integral to how the lane functions

1v1 top/mid is already unrealistic but bot? what the hell. That's the absolute most useless comparison in all of LoL.
+ Show Spoiler +Also Trist is horribad in 1v1, I would actually like to see you try and 1v1 a remotely competent Graves

Oh my. People saying Taric is too strong? I remember when the new Taric came out (new R, W, modified Q and E duration) and people were saying he'd be useless while I tried telling everyone how he was seriously legit. /hipster
Ok. Bot lane.
In Bot lane, the Support should be creating farm space for the carry. It's not enough to sit in the bush all day and throw out an occasional heal. This isn't Season 1 any more. The support needs to be moving, and pressuring the other side and deterring aggression, or responding to aggression. For example,a s Leona you have a really big threat range that says "If you get within E distance of me, I will all in your face." Keep moving to relieve pressure from your AD so they can just last hit.
The AD needs to be able to follow up on the support. Again, Leona as the example. If I see the other AD overextend like an idiot and their support isn't ready to peel and I can see you close enough to follow up, I am going to go all in and punch their face in. Don't keep hitting minions. Go in on them and follow up. You need to be on the same page as your support and understand what they want to do. Communication is super important.
Of course, in solo queue people act like idiots all the time. So eh. As the AD, you'll generally have to make more plays, especially since there will rarely be a support who understands the lane dynamics, wave control, threat ranges and burst levels. If you watch Doublelift, you'll notice he sometimes forgoes one or two cs every wave to get harass on the other AD. Generally their support will be just as bad as yours. And AD players tend to only think about ricing. So when you go in to last hit, forget that 20 gold you could get from a minion. Go auto the other AD Carry and use a spell on them. (e.g. As Caitlyn hit them and then Q them and hit them again when they run). Boom. Instant lane control. Sure the lane will push a little but that's what wards are for. And you're Caitlyn. What do you care lol.
Awesomefusion has done a series of guides on Youtube about playing AD Carry, especially in solo queue. They're pretty useful so do check them out if you're interested.

Sure I have. But almost all the ADs have been patched differently by now. And currently, saying you can 1v1 somebody with an AD is nice, but not useful in any way.
Also when AD mid was popular, the really strong 1v1ers like Graves or Draven were not even out.
I promise you it would be different now than it was then.

The reason trist wins is because 525 range sucks dick
Also I put in a disclaimer that 1v1 bot isn't quite accurate but still gives a feel for the matchup

1v1 everything works. Why does it matter what role it is. It builds experience, even if building for 1v1 only. Experience is all that matters in this type of game. This is some real weird discussion. Why is it even up to debate why it's good to learn using 1v1?

Just a random question concerning banning: What would happen if teams didn't take turns banning, and instead were allowed to use all their bans in a certain time limit? What would be the effect on higher level play, and even lower level play?
|
yes, the delay and cast time make it really really weird lots of times i try to shoot it and then change my mind but it's like already in cast animation and i can't cancel it and i just hate it i like everything else about corki, honestly i'd consider maxing E on him because i'm so bad with Q
i also have never landed a single caitlyn Q in a game either i really don't like cast times on skillshots O_O

Teams would get really good at fast-banning everything on like the last 2 seconds of the timer, and you'd get a few wasted bans because teams accidentally tried to ban the same thing and ran out of time.
If it's free-banning, and you have 1 min 30 sec to ban, there is zero reason to ban anything until like the last 3 seconds because revealing any information earlier gives your opponents time to react.

If anyone likes I can 1v1 them bot for a feel, though supports and junglers are indeed integral to how the lane functions I think practicing bot lane without junglers is more okay than top or mid since it's the hardest lane to gank by far, but practicing AD carry without supports is way dumber than practicing 1v1 top or mid. It's like at a completely new level of irrelevant.

Don't sweep your faults under the rug, get better at skillshots.
