The problem is that all % masteries are basicly to low. What good is 1.5% less damage when you have 2.5k hp. its 37 extra damage before you die. thats pretty pointless. For archmage to give you as much AP as an amp tomb you need 400 ap. Its all to low to basicly have much impact.

If you're fiddlesticks, it's like 50g/point on your level 1 ulti and on drain. If you're Irelia, it's like 15 g/point. It depends on what your base numbers are. Also, there's nothing better to get, as havoc is MUCH better than 1AP/point.
Executioner isn't terribly good at trading, because in lane neither side should be chilling about with health that low, but it provides a nice bit of extra damage for last hitting (like 3-5 at level 1, increasing as game goes on), and becomes more relevant for allins and other committed fights.

The only champion where taking the flat AP mastery on is feasible is Karthus.

100G at level 18 is pretty decent for how the different scaling masteries work. Both AP ones, the new AD one is ~90G per point at 18. So I'm going to say that the scaling AP ones which are worth 80-100G/point at 18 are fine. Sometimes you don't want scaling masteries, you want masteries that are useful at level 1. In these cases, the higher tier AP masteries (including havoc, which has math similar to scaling masteries) are not what you're looking for, so you see 9/whatever/whatever setups.
Also worth noting is the cost of spell vamp and life steal have gone up since the time of that posting - all the spell vamp items and nearly all lifesteal items (certainly the more base/common ones - vamp scep, wriggles, BT) have been lowered in what they give, meaning the mastery has a higher gold/point value.

Does anyone have a VoD of Diana being played in the jungle at a high level (tournament or stream), successfully? I'm still trying to make her work (to justify the RP), but want to see how pros/high elo people are playing/building her for research.

I don't think Diana jungle is viable except as a standard tank jungle but other champs probably do it better.

Idk,I still think the worth of offense masterys for Aps shouldn't be judged by how good they are at lvl 18.100G worth of stats at lvl 18 IS pretty shitty.At this point I think 21 in utility should be the way to go.

I've been running 9/0/21 on my mids. Having flash up ~40s faster than the enemy mid is just too good.

Tho you should def play what you enjoy, if only more people would understand that it's a game, and playing a champ you like makes you play better.

Buy extra pots if you want to play really aggressive,skip one pot and buy a ward and ward your entrance to the jungle or ward for dat fb top lane.
