They're more like QoL changes that can be construed as a buff. Considering how underplayed Malz is, I don't think this is really overboard @@

yeah, i didn't really mean buff, i meant what you mean basically
he was viable before, just hard to use. they gave him too many QoL changes that are going to make him too easy and foolproof. but again, i'm okay with it, because i think he'll still have bad matchups

what i'm saying is, they should have given him no cast-time on void zone first. then if that wasn't enough, change the minion AI. then if that wasn't enough, change something else. rather than all at once

curse on a roll tonight. 2-1 TD (not sure if that was tonight), and just 2-0 mtw, second bo3 starting in a few minutes, crs vs mtw. westrice actually played REALLY well in the last game as shen vs shyvana top, and nyjacky veigar op. i was down on westrice for awhile, he wasnt impressing me at all, but that last game he was good.

why would they stagger them? Both were by far the most awkward parts of playing malz by a long shot, and both were necessary.

also, I disagree that he was or is particularly difficult to play, but that's kinda subjective.

because that is how you make changes in games with 100 different playable characters. instead of remaking 4 champs in one patch, you push out tiny changes and see how they affect the balance.

How is playing Malz foolproof when arguably one of the strongest parts of his kit is immediately counterable by a single item, forcing you to play around it?

i was so happy hen they slowed down patches, but now they remake like 4 champions and add another one in a single patch, they learned nothing.

to be fair, 2 of those remakes were announced like half a year ago. one of those has been pretty shitty/underplayed for the longest time. where's the fourth remake? malz? that's not a remake; it's more of qol changes.

I'm actually hoping they speed up with patches now. Just less content, more tweaking (gameplay or client or whatever).

What's best is that you can really see Riot making a lot of balance issues now. Minor character buffs/nerfs to put them all into line, so it's a good sign.

sorry, I don't really get your question, but I didn't mean to give the impression that malz was foolproof in any way, just that he isn't really that hard to play, outside of some of the weird interactions between the w and r animations and minion quirks.

I think I misquoted by accident...think it was directed towards gtr but now I'm not so sure what I even meant.

I'm so sad about the Xin remake. He was one of my favorite characters to play. There's nothing like building full tank Xin, diving into the enemy team, being completely ignored and your whole team wipes while you lecture your team about being a man.

qss doesn't hard counter him, but it does make his ulti rather less useful. I'd rather have an AP carry that has 4 skills that all will do something in a teamfight rather than an AP carry that only has 3 skills whose ultimate is almost completely countered by a single ~1600 gold item. I mean, Malz ult is still useful after QSS comes into play, but its effectiveness is severely diminished.

I dunno. It removes the channeled ulti damage, gets you out of the pool that he's trying to hold you down in, and removes the E dot. Also allows you to escape the minions nipping at you. Instead of getting full comboed for a rather large chunk of your life (if not all of it if you aren't reasonably tanky or were chunked already), you walk away having taken ~300 damage or so (or rather, turn around and crush him). If you happen to still be silenced, it removes that too.

He's still a good pusher, I guess. And making multiple people on the enemy team buy QSS's is prettysignificant too - you can probably scare people in teamfights into using it too just by ulting without the rest of your combo (the CC alone is deadly) and then save the rest of the combo for when it's not going to get lumped into "things that will get nullified by QSS"

Man just got some RP and bought ezreal + a skin. ezreal is so fun, but pretty hard to play. His e is really hard to use because it targets the nearest enemy and that usually ends up being a minion.

You just need to have a team that can force super early skirmishes so that Malz can shine before they get QSS and hopefully snowball an advantage so that even when they get QSS you still do damage...
