Karthus's laning phase consist of farming with Q from maximum range. plus due to his ultimate, he does not need to win the lane nor roam to get fed. He just sit in mid and farm farm farm. Then again, it might be just me as I tend to play fairly passive in mid while I sit back and farm unless I am playing some specific champion who has very strong roam (something like Ahri, LeBlanc, and Lux come to mind). On a different note, I am pretty sure scarra said on stream once that the current mid lane meta has desolved into a state which the skill level of mid laners have homogenized - no one can tell who is good and who is bad anymore. He claims that all the best mid laners run farm lanes and rarely roam beyond defending/stealing wraith and jungle ganks.... things like Anivia, Morgana, Karthus, Ryze, etc. | ||

Karthus's wall is an extremely potent ganking tool so roaming karthus does work but unless you get that kill or can secure dragon because you roamed, it's not really worth it to do so. Karthus can take the enemy big wraith with 3x Q's so warding it and taking it whenever possible is far more useful to do than roaming all the way bottom/top and missing out on a wave of CS. Teleport karthus on the other hand, has serious potential. You can both farm, take wraiths, push mid and make it there in time to assist against ganks or assist in ganking someone. | ||

I own a couple of them but i mostly find Mundo to my liking. my requests are: 1) decent clear speed 2) able to pressure / gank from early on (not necessary level 2 , but for example i find ww waiting to six a bit problematic in my (low) elo range , since the game might be practically over by six , and people do not know how to play safe most of the time . 3) strong tanky late game . i currently own WW udyr but i am not good enough to make counter jungling work . (and lane awareness is not something i want to count on ) and udyr gank potential is a bit low to my taste and WW as i mentioned , his ability to gank without ultimate is too low , clearing a bit slow so i am looking for someone who can fill the above criteria , for when i will finally get to 30 and play rank i could jungle comfortably even when mundo not available . | ||
