That is the most amazing play I have ever seen. + Show Spoiler + He literally baited every ultimate on the enemy team except Soraka, every CC except for Headbutt and Infuse (which were impossible), and all of Ahri's damage.

I have been playing League of Legends for quite a while now and I am currently stuck somewhere between 1200 and 1400 elo. I feel like I have very little influence on the outcome of a game at all since at this elo, it all seems to depend on whoever has the least retarded team. I am by no means saying I am always playing the perfect game and that I never make any mistakes, but 95% of the games lost are caused by one or more people that apparantly still haven't mastered the basics of the game even after 30 levels of play and 200-ish ranked wins. I mostly play jungle, and occasionally top and i find it extremely difficult to carry as a jungler at this elo. It doesn't really matter if you give your carry 8 kills when he feels he has to walk into an unwarded enemy jungle over and over in the lategame. On the other hand, most of my wins are 'won' because of the enemy teams incompetence as well. It is very rare that you actually get to play a good, close and statisfying game of league of legends at this elo in solo queue. Some prime examples of what I run into every day: - People counterpicking themselves 'I have never lost a lane against champion X!' - Proceeds to get stomped - AD/AP Carries facechecking brushes instead of letting the tankier champions do so - Usually results in insta-death and a lost teamfight and/or baron - No gp10 supports that fall off hard mid-late game - People with 40 cs after 15 minutes who have not died at all, have not ganked other lanes and didnt even back once (how is this even possible?) - People complaining that they lost their lane and couldn't farm because they dont get any ganks when they themselves have not been ganked and are supposed to have counterpicked their opponent. - People not paying attention when ganks are coming, even when warned with a ping and a chat message - People going afk because they feel insulted when someone kindly asks them to change their summoners/build with proper argumentation 'DONT TELL ME HOW TO PLAY NOOB' 'All: My team flame so I afk' I feel like I do not belong in this elo at all and this is somewhat proved when I duo with friends in the 16-1700's. I usually do a great job jungling there since the people actually pay attention and I win my lanes most of the time as well. The games there are just so much more fun and losses can be accepted more easily because the games are usually close. I am not saying that trolling or people failing over and over does not happen here, but its waaaay less then the elo i am currently at. What would you guys recommend me to do to reach a higher ELO? I am currently pondering to create a smurf, buy exp and ip boosts and to duo queue once I reach 30. Would this be worth it and have reasonable odds of succes?Or should I just give up on jungling for now and just queue as another role that can carry a game on its own more easily? / end of rant

You have to identify what kind of playstyle works for you at your elo, also depending on the other picks. Typically, if you actually are better than everyone else in the game, you might want to press that advantage early through ganks or killing the enemy jungler by predicting when and where he will be vulnerable, potentially telling an ally to push and assist. If you can't do it, you're where you should be. Solo queue is not just a matter of mechanical skill, it's also about correctly juding the situation and directing your allies without causing a flame war.

On July 18 2012 17:55 SasukeStreams wrote: wall of text While there are, and always will be some games that are straight up unwinnable, for the most part, games should be equal footing or in your favor. In statistical terms, your team has 4 chances to get an utter dunce, while the other team has 5 chances to get a complete tard; assuming, of course, that you truly do belong at a higher elo. Now, getting to the “how to win games” portion. The easiest roles to play to win games is jungler or mid imo. Those two roles have the biggest impact in the game since they dictate the flow of the game. As jungler, keep an eye out for ways to help your team get ahead. Also look for opportunities to fuck over the other jungler. Steal buffs, sneak dragons, all that stuff. If you’re truly higher elo, and you’re doing it right, you will get your team a lead. All you have to do then is to keep that lead and secure the victory. That’s the hard part. Be a genuinely good person. It’s easier to get people to listen when you’re not condescending or flaming them. It also helps if you’re doing well; people tend to listen to someone with a 16/0/25 score than someone who’s going 0/27/0. Make sure you’re always communicating with your team. Tell them to back the fuck off, gtfo lanes, and basically lead your team. Be stern but not insulting. Mass ping, use caps lock do w/e it takes, just don’t piss them off. Best way to keep your team from losing stupidly? WARDS, WARDS, AND MORE WARDS. Especially at low elo, people tend to not ward. If you notice your support isn’t warding, then you do it. Suck it up and buy 1~2 wards every time you back if you have a free slot. A ward is basically 2~3 creep; it’s not much. If you feel up to it, get an oracles. Map vision and generally having more information than the other team is the #2 underrated key to victory, second only to last hitting.

Sure his ult tended to glitch sometimes but it didn't matter to me. :D I loved him and picked him now and then, but for some reason I thought maybe it wouldn't be worth it to pick him against a non-AS reliant team, or worse, a double AP team, so I saw him as some kind of counterpick and it made me sad in the "I can't justify picking him more" way. I don't know how/what I missed, but I guess I should have persevered. ![]()
