Or like Scarra says, he isn't so concerned about the AP mid player, but rather the junglers. iunno if I can agree with that. IMO Froggen is best AP player in the world based on not only his results, but his consistency. Regi sometimes plays like he's #1 AP ever, but he's inconsistent. Jiji, Salce, Scarra are all very good, but I've just never seen them carry as hard or as consistently as Froggen.
It's definitely a team thing, too. Like Salce hasn't ever really had the chance to show off his skillz 'cause EG has never been able to really win much other than tons of silvers. My thinking Froggen es #1 is mostly based off of what I've seen recently in big tourneys.

I'd say the difference is mainly in the junglers. lilballz is world class and YJTM is good but nowhere near as good. Misaya is the better AP carry and Wx is the better AD carry, but that doesn't matter when you have zero map control, get 90% of your buffs stolen and lose almost every dragon. TPA's support is really good as well, and along with lilballz, gives TPA really strong control over the game overall. TBH I'd actually say the difference in their top laners is just as large, it's just the games didn't really show it off (particularly with the lane swaps and such). Caomei's play has never impressed me at all, while Stanley always puts on a very solid performance. It's not exactly news that WE's play banks very heavily on Misaya and Weixiao. I always felt that WE's top laner was probably the weakest player in the team or perhaps their support, but you're right, it was hard to judge the difference between Caomei and Stanley with the lane swaps today, although neither had too much impact in any of the games.
Edit: on the AP mid discussion, I'd say that there are enough differences in playstyle and champ pool between the top contenders for there to be no clear answer. However, I'd definitely rank Froggen, Misaya and Alex Ich as amongst the best. Regi almost never gets lane kills against top AP mids - in fact he usually get lane killed. jiji > Regi imo in the NA scene, but Regi's synergy with TOO means that they have more impact overall.
Edit 2: I guess I was talking more about laning. Froggen and jiji are more traditional teamfighters and both are exceptional. Alex Ich and Regi are more active in making big plays and I'd say Alex Ich is better than Regi in that regard. Misaya is probably a balance between Froggen and Alex Ich, leaning more towards playmaking.

The new queue dodge fix is really dumb. They need to make you lose elo.
|
it really depends on how the queue dodge meta evolves
|
i prefer the new system for dodging in ranked games because losing elo only caused two things, people dodging to intentionally lower their elo or people not wanting to dodge and being stuck with intentional trolls in champ select
|
Yeah but instead of intentional trolls in champ select, now you'll never get a ranked game going unless everyone gets EXACTLY what they want and even more trolls who try to bluff their way to a dodge

This reminds me of a game I played where caitlyn was afk at the start. We all knew she was afk because the timer went down before she got randomed caitlyn, but none of us wanted to dodge, hoping she'd get back from her bathroom break. She didn't until 15 minutes later.
It's really stupid that Riot doesn't detect when someone's just afk. Or make a pregame reporting system. It's unclear how many dodges had to be made to accommodate for that caitlyn.

it will probably be like normal draft but i don't think it can get much worse than that because if someone dodges you get rematched usually with either the same teammates OR the people that were on the enemy team. if the pick order stays the same then it would only take 1 or 2 requeues in most cases before everyone is satisfied
edit: i actually think they should implement some kind of window where you can freely leave the queue like during the ban phase or something where mm can just stick someone else in quickly to replace you

Event Horizon will now always correctly stun enemies who use dash abilities to pass through it
So happy! No more Ahri, Shen, Dashing through my walls.

The reasons you should actually need to dodge are A.) someone is AFK or B.) you have to leave (aka you can't play)
This doesn't solve the first at all. People who are AFK will just stay in queue being placed into teams over and over and over, maybe eventually even getting to the point where you have an entire game full of AFKs. There are definitely going to be trolls who abuse this. At Elos where you have very long queues and there are few people queuing, doding an AFK costs you a significant amount of time and/or ends up placing you back into the same matchup.

Don't you worry mang. I'm actually very happy they fixed it. It made an inconsistency in his play that I didn't like. I'm hoping that the Death Ray fix makes his laser actually visible now.
Also: Dodge change is really freaking stupid.

Really liking the patch notes. It seems that Riot is slowing down on champs and working on updating things and fixing bugs, really fine-tuning the game.

- n/a - Janna's ult - Lulu's E - Amumu's W, Fiddle's ult, kind of Singed's Q - Nidalee's Q I meant for the aoe poison to be more like warthog's ( or whatever his name is) from dota, but with dot. Last one is basically nid's Q but slower start and faster later on.
