The U.S. should be a land where every1 is accepted regardless of what language they use. I could care less what language they speak. But when it makes it impossible to communicate with them and forces us into bad positions which make us lose then I have a problem. Who says they can't speak english? Just because they don't speak english with you doesn't mean they can't speak english. You want to ban people for using different keyboard layouts from you? And I dont see how it's any different from bad players that don't listen to pings or calls. And riot won't/can't ban people just for being bad at the game. I guess I'll just take it to QQ thread if this is gonna turn into a topic about bad players. If they can't speak english, don't play on NA servers because you are gimping any team who play with. If they can speak english but refuse to, that's just as bad or worse and deserves punishment imo. So ya thats my 2cents and peace. Some of the replies to this guy are so ignorant lmao. He asks a legit inquiry and it somehow turns into 'y u so close minded'. Mentions people spamming korean and chinese and people bring up the fact NA is comprised of 2 other countries. Korea and China they are not... I agree to your sentiments and think not being able to speak any language native to NA should be reportable, why else bother with different server regions? The server regions is to keep this pings manageable ... neither English, French nor Spanish is native to NA, please report this guy if you see him in game. Misused native, but you understand the message I am convey.

They should make people using certain language settings only queue with people with the same language(So people using english client queue with english-speaking people, people using german client would queue with german-speaking people etc)
It really ruins games when you have an amazing polish duo queue spam polish in chat so that you need to ignore them and then can't communicate

I actually think the concept of Riot banning people for anything that isn't hacking/cheating/exploiting is dumb. I'm also okay with Riot banning people for a set amount of time or an infinite amount of time from ranked if they have multiple occasions of them not helping the team or intentionally feeding.
This probably comes from my background playing games where you couldn't get banned for just about anything short of straight cheating.
edit: Not that I think it's okay to troll people or anything but if I was to get banned because I've told people to 'fuck off' when they bother me or for building a 'troll item' I'd be pretty angry.

What are everyone's thoughts on CV? I don't remember any supports having CV in MLG most of them taking exhaust.
In solo Q it's harder to type in the information you get from CV like "care jungler is not at wraiths" in time, it's only useful for me when I have a feeling the enemy is definitely going to invade or to check if it's safe to ward and if the team is doing baron/dragon. Versus taking exhaust where I can focus all my focus all my cc including exhaust on the enemy AD carry in lane and teamfights which is always useful.
I'm not sure why pro teams aren't taking CV anymore though still seems useful for invades and counter invades.

I think in solo queue CV is pointless. Better to force fights and win lane phase hard with aggressive summoners.
In competitive play it's good but I think you need to pick a safe lane to pull it off without falling too far behind since as the person above me said you'll lose just about every committed fight.

Apparently I'm a racist for believing a common lanaguage to be able to properly communcate with one another is a good thing and should be encouraged. Darn, if only my german ancestors knew they were being racists for daring to learn english in a dominately english speaking country.

Is it me, or does shaco shut down alistar jungle pretty hard? This is only 1700 elo though. What are your favourite picks (as a jungler/in general) against a shaco?

Look at this realistically. What would you need to do in order to enforce an English only NA server? Take literacy tests? Queing with only people of a certain language would give longer queue times.
Riot has made steps to give each area their own server with the Asia server (and BR server?). Even if the BR server exists there would still be a problem with those who speak Spanish and French in NA. What else are they supposed to do go to EU W? The problem is supposedly worse there and still they speak mostly English. Yes it's annoying to have to play with people who don't speak English. They still should be allowed to play LoL because the alternative is not viable.

Encouraging people to learn English is a good thing. Encouraging people to learn any commonly spoken language is a good thing.
Saying everyone who can't speak English shouldn't be allowed to play on the NA server is pretty ridiculous though. If we followed that line of logic then CLG shouldn't be allowed to go back to Korea and play on the Korean servers because they don't speak Korean.
You don't need to type in English to communicate well in LoL anyway. Just pinging and responding properly to pings is way more efficient than typing in chat in most situations.

It's so frustrating losing because I can only talk with 1 other person on my team. Does Riot have some sort of logic behind this? It's essentionally 2v5 + a random 3rd party that decides what they want to do, don't even have majority to control what obj the team does if any.
Stop bitching, you were clearly the minority.
Can someone dig out the Chinese/Korean post about three friends queueing together which bitches about stupid Americans on the NA server who can't listen to pings and never communicate please? =P
On the topic of Draven, to me it seems that the first 2-4 Qs are very easily guidable but the more it continues in a row, the further they deviate from the point you want them to go to. I click to a certain point right before the axe hits and it will land as close as possible towards that point reliably. If I don't move at all or e.g. click very close to me it won't move far away. You basically have to know where you want to be when you hit someone with it. Since that is something you know but not the enemy I also don't feel "hardcountered" by Morgana Qs or Blitz grabs.
For fights I think that you have to decide whether you can safely rely on max dmg via continous Qs or whether you want it to reset your W if you can't control Q 100%. If you can't reliably catch Q, you might do stuff like W, autoattack twice, throw Q, catch it, press W again. Opening with Q sounds only solid if you need the burst (standard 2n2 botlane e.g.).
Ideal play however would be open with Q, press W, catch all Qs and keep spamming W. =P

not ideal in a teamfight if you have to cancel autos to catch.

picks AGAINST shaco? lee is a hard counter, shyvana skarner hecarim udyr alistar nunu jarvan pantheon jax amumu... anyone that can damage jungle creeps without dying to them is a good pick against shaco because shaco is the worst champ in the game, bar none

At least my comment sparked some discussion. Is it too much to ask for teammates who speak a common language so we can actually communicate? That's all I wanted really.

Yep I agree with you. People should at least try to properly communicate, if through pings, then that works too. But if you just refuse to that should be banworthy. It's a team game. If CLG.eu didn't understand one another they couldn't play as well together as they do. That shoudn't change in solo q. People need to understand one another in a team game. What I don't agree with is people who misuse the word "racist" to make their retarded argument attempt to sound "right" and "just." Those types of people piss me off to no end.

Yeah, I tried to refrain from using the word racist because not only did I think that was a bit extreme but it's pretty silly to assume that non-English speakers are necessarily not of the same race as the person who complained about it. For all I know the guy who bitched about it on the last page is Chinese himself and was annoyed about other Chinese people not speaking English.
I just don't think that chat in LoL is as helpful as pinging and neither is as helpful as voice communication but you're not gonna get voice communication in solo queue anyways lol.

I have played with many players whom I wish did not know English. Sadly I am tryhard enough to leave them unignored on the off chance they generate something useful with their stupid, angry fingers.

Why does Riot allow people who don't type english at all to play on the NA server? Just had a 4man quad Q on my team who talked in vent or something in my game for 30min straight. So to you guys who don't want non-english speakers on the NA server, mind suggesting what it should look like on EU West / East? Damn non-western european speakers.
