Do any of you guys know how to fix this? There's probably a config file that you can modify. Best solution is to ask in the tech support thread in this forum, it's run by moonbear, which pretty much means you're guaranteed a timely, informative, and helpful answer

What the? Lol pros don't play/practice seriously enough for your liking? DTAI my friend. Don't talk about it, do something about it (I.e. make your own team and go get some oh so easy cash with your well practiced team). If you don't like how hard they practice that sounds like a personal issue, and you should really follow the advice given to you and take a break from EVERYTHING lol relate, playing it, discussing it here, stop wearing your lol tshirts etc. take a couple weeks off, of you miss it, then great, you've found you like the game despite its perceived flaws. If you don't come back, then you've saved yourself a bunch of time, and a bunch of frustration. Seriously, do it.

Also apparently the only AD carry I can play is . . . ad kennen lol. Atleast I do decently with him, being able to lock down the big bad bruiser diving you is really helpful when your team doesn't give a shit about protecting you.

I'm enjoying learning first hand why some matchups are no-goes, way better than reading some list on a forum. Just don't wanna pick up bad habits. What's the consensus? Also, first post. Sup.

I've been spamming Akali in blind pick normals and keep getting matched against Renekton (clue me in if there is a way to counter Ren w/ Akali, I haven't found it yet). I've got into the habit of just farming under tower as best as I can with the intent of letting the tower fall to free me up for roaming. Push my lane out until I meet resistance, then try to start unfair fights in other ppls lanes and prune any untended jungle camps - return to lane when it's near my 2nd tower again. It's working out pretty well, but I know there is a definite loss of cs in my lane and I can't always rely on my jungler leaving his camps uncleared. I wouldn't do this mid, btw. Welcome, A question like 'how to cut your losses' is pretty general, and can vary matchup to matchup. If your champ can farm at tower well (which akali can), then you can let them push you to tower and just farm underneath it, and then ask for a jungle gank). In general it can be really hard to do anything top lane if you're behind, it generally needs jungle assistance to keep it in check. For more specific akali stuff, there is an akali thread (if u wanna talk about akali vs renek specifically). By default i think only threads with a post within 2 weeks are displayed, but just type in 'akali' in the search bar and the thread will still pop up.

Every slice of the damage pie for Renek is physical, except for a little bit of frosting (ult damage), so what I tend to do is get some armor first, no matter which top laner I'm playing. In the case of Akali, either cutlass>chain vest or revolver>chain vest would be my choice. Start out with cloth5 too, and get tabi's. I'd also ideally have an Akali page with some armor in the yellows, instead of hp/lvl. Other than that, it's a difficult matchup. Renektons dash makes it easy for him to get to you and do a lot of damage, your shroud does nothing against his Q and E. He will damage you in shroud.

First and foremost, welcome to the TL LoL community, we hope you like it here! I've personally become a big fan of running gp10, when losing lane, and trying to last hit under turret. So as far as the akali vs renekton lane, you probably have very low kill potential against him, just due to his nature of his tankiness. I'd probably approach it this way, start boot-3pot, see how the lane turns out. If I'm getting faced smashed in, and can't get that much farm, I start buying HoG, Kage's lucky pick, both good items, that give both stats and gp10. Now at this point you've pretty much said "FUCK IT, I'm not going to bother fucking killing you, I'm just going to make more gold than you, and become more useful in team fighting phase" Then think about getting really cost effective items, such as sheen and phage, hell you might want to just buy madreds razor just for better last hitting and some armor. Hopefully you'll be able to ride out mid game by playing like a panzy, and farming, and eventually you'll find yourself with a larger gold pool than your opponent.

A question like 'how to cut your losses' is pretty general, and can vary matchup to matchup. Oh, totally. I guess I could reduce it down to 'is giving up top tower worse than feeding (say) 2 kills'. In the case of Akali, either cutlass>chain vest or revolver>chain vest would be my choice. Start out with cloth5 too, and get tabi's. I'd also ideally have an Akali page with some armor in the yellows, instead of hp/lvl. Waiting for a 4th pot was comfortable, armoring up is something I need to keep in mind. I'll probably pull the trigger on a set of armor yellows tonight - been saving for gp10 yellows but fuck it. Anyways I'll stop side tracking GD, thanks for the advice :D

Most people wouldn't have double dorans and Zerkers and IE at 15:30 either, though, and most people probably wouldn't hit that one 25% chance crit(Though he did have 2 chances) that saves them vs MF. 0,213 Completely unrelated: Last ~3 games I've seen by m5, Darien has always fed the toplane like a madman and also if someone in his team gets caught, it's generally him. Hmhm...

Not to mention J4 waited a really long time to ult and missed his first knock-up.

Hmhm... I've never thought Darien was that good. Even when M5 was all the rage and considered the best team in the world hands down, I remember thinking he was mediocre at best. I remember him playing Wukong top and dying at level 2 1v1 to a Vladimir. I was just like "Dafuq? How..."
