Couldn't find an Urgot thread so I'm gonna post this here.
So I bought Urgot and I've been trying him out in normals (2k elo in ranked, see a lot of good players in normals too tho). He seems ridiculous early game with his lock-on acid hunter spam to zone out his opponents (I really like Soraka so I can go 9 in defense and still spam spells). He's then good mid game at catching people and being tanky in team fights. Then it gets to the point when it's late game and I have a brutalizer, frozen heart, merc treads, GA and a couple dorans... and I do NO damage. Our team stays alive for a long time but eventually lose if we can't focus their AD carry down quickly.
Are there any alternate builds to this one so I can be more of a presence late game but still be tanky enough to swap in the middle of their team? I was thinking maybe going BT after glacial or after I finish FH. Also, what's Urgot's ideal 6 item build late game? I've been doing Mercs/FrozenHeart/GA/Maw/BT/LW (sell brutalizer to get LW) but without any attack speed my autos aren't very effective. So much Q spam in between auto attacks though I guess attack speed doesn't make much sense for him. Is there another core item I should be getting over any of those six? Maybe sell mercs and get PD?

Well, the heaviest thing in those cases is my sigh, but I often end up reporting people for lack of communication when they tend to go rambo or get caught in their jungle 1v5 on top of ignoring us.
Also, Urgot is some kind of a hybrid bruiser and AD caster. That's why you'd max cdr on him if you can (or close, I believe I've seen discussions here stating 34-35% is enough?) and spam Q + abuse his passive (-15% damage is so good lategame) to neutralize their sources of damage.
Ha, oracles in Normal Blind pick. I bought oracles once to counter a twitch and found 0 wards the entire game.

When I play and someone on the other team starts being an ass, I focus more and try to beat them. I have more reasons to beat them. I try and gather my team to win, it's 5v5.
When my own team griefs or starts being rude I feel we are losing hard, and it becomes a 4v6, 3v7, etc. I just can't do much and I know the other team is going to take advantage of that.

Na, I bought oracles in ranked. But then I can't use it because they're getting trashed in all lanes and 1 ward every two minutes is more or less my sole gold income. :<
So I decided to stop buying oracles (started after a game where I had a pretty decent mid actually, who allowed me to counterjungle my opponent to starvation so I had time to gank those lanes I cleared from wards too... the synergy felt great, but turns out he was an exception) and camping lost causes, ignore the whining and just farm till I get satiated.
Like ITW said, one thing I "love" to see when the team is bickering is a failed surrender vote by the enemy team. Ours barely listens to me but sometimes I could point it out and rally them on the "Look, they're thinking they lost and probably fighting between themselves, let's straighten up and abuse their division". Well now we can't see it anymore.

But if you can't see what you may be doing wrong, why not ask friends (or people in LP EU) to spectate your games? Another set of eyes is nice, and they'll be able to give you feedback on things that may have eluded you.
I've talked several times about that kdr-obsessed dude that would rather fuck up a gank than not be the one that gets the kill, feels the greatest when he "carries" and makes it known, etc. I knew I was better than him on several aspects (he mainly plays Riven, Ahri, Fizz, Kog, so easy harass/huge scaling/burst) and wondered how he played to justify his history, as I refused to attribute it to "he plays easy to abuse bads/play/snowball with champs" entirely. Turns out he can't cs well even when he gets free farm, and doesn't assess how much he can burst for well, things I wouldn't know without laning against him or spectating him.

Hey Guys I just installed leaguereplay but just can't seem to start it.
I wanted to open a replay from a game I just played but it says: " It appears the replay is from a newer version than the current one bla bla do you want to chose a another path" and when i click I fin dthe right directory but the .exe doesnt appear and I always get an error. some1 help pls?

i think i've seen some pros start building a triforce (zeal first) late game on urgot for dps, the proc definitely synergizes with your q spam more than most items
or just wait for the new caster dps item coming soon

it also synergizes well with having essentially no other DPS items. Fucking Bruta -> FH -> GA build is such bullshit. No one has any right to be doing damage with a build like that.

That was something that always fucking perplex'd me. the reason team comps scale into lategame is usually due to AD carries, but going FH GA w/ urgot does no damage(edit: lategame). It's fine if he was meant to be bruiser for team, but he's usually the AD carry.

Actually, fuck all AD carries. I propose we remove all of them from the game entirely.

I actually like having all chat disabled. There is literally zero reason for me to care about what the enemy team is saying 99% of the time and this lets me avoid spamming /ignore lest I have to deal with "gg noobs" or far worse trash talk, which even if I know is a bunch of bullcrap I also know it's bullcrap that gets me down in spite of myself.
So yeah, I actually don't fit into clutz's generalization at all. I do care, and I think this is an improvement. I'd actually rather have my own teammates raging at me while we lose than listen to the enemy team make fun of me as they win. At least my teammates are on the same team as me and want to win, which changes the flavor of most of the interactions. From my perspective no /all solves half of the problem.

Urgot scales soo poorly into lategame. All other AD carries have the ability to melt through EVERY champion late game, Urgot's late game only deals good damage against squishies, his ability to do any damage to enemy bruiser/tanks is minimal.

Janna gets ALL the cs.
But really, I hate how stupidly strong AD carries are late-game. If you're in a game where the score is 30-15 but the winning team has a weak AD carry and the other team has a good AD carry with 15 kills, there's a pretty good chance that the team that's behind 15 kills are still going to win is way ahead.
