1. do they only reveal 'known' information? like, will the ward placement only be shown if you actually saw the ward being placed?
2. do you have a source on the okaying from tencent?
3. are they allowed in tournaments?
thanks! We had a discussion about it yesterday in LP on EUW. Managed to figure out that when you use a spell or place a ward some kind of global sound is emitted. The 3rd party program detects this and shows on the map where the ward was placed/where the spell was used. It also has timers for buffs, but only for the ones that you had vision of getting killed. Calling auto ss/re, showing range of enemy champs/towers, infinite zoom out are also some of it's features. And God knows what else. Some pics found with a simple search on google: ![[image loading]](http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/2325/zynox6.jpg) ![[image loading]](http://img840.imageshack.us/img840/2310/zynox7.jpg) oh right i think moonbear mentioned that before. that wards placements are 'global' variables due to needing to be able to hear wards placed through fog. the 'hack' probably exploits that. if that's the case i'm doubtful that tencent actually okay-ed it. Don't know what tencent is, but its sure these things aren't legal as you get information, what you shouldn't be able to get.
Tencent is a huge Chinese company which owns QQ messenger -a very popular Chinese Instant Messaging programme, which everyone uses. They also own Riot Games, so I guess if they want to allow some hacks there's not much Riot can do.
I play on the China server and most games someone has the buff timer thing - it will post into chat the time, but more usefully ping the map just before a buff comes back up, so you have time to get in position. I've only really noticed it for blue and red buffs though.
Another external program I've seen a few times (but not as common), tells you each players ranking during champion select. 1 version gives wins/losses, and another has some number, which looks like an alternate ELO (in a 1400 ranked game people had between 3200-4500 of this number).

Sigh...I didn't like moletrap's casting in bw, didn't like him in sc2 GSL, and it's hard to listen to him now in the OGN tournament. I'm not talking about whether or not I like his casting style, but specifically annoyed by his game knowledge. I just don't understand - if you cast professionally, why wouldn't you at least learn about the game you're casting?
I understand that balance changes and the huge number of matchups makes it difficult to keep up (i.e. Kennen vs Jarvan top lane changes entirely when Kennen went AD), but if you cast PROFESSIONALLY that's kind of your job...
It was the same way in bw and sc2, both games with much more resources available to help casters learn and improve, so it's not even about LoL's lack of caster-friendly tools.

That's why (if I do watch) I use the Korean commentary VoDs.

You can steam when you don't feel like talking about what you're doing. Honest, we don't mind.

We don't, but maybe some viewers do, whom (? is it correct?) he is talking about. One thing I find is lacking, especially when you're spectating friends doing a custom or stuff in that vein, is that you can't read team chat. Sure, that way you don't see all the raging (and no "/w pal51 man, dude37 is dissing you so hard in team chat"), but I'd find it interesting to see how communication goes, be it during scrims that get into featured games, or just seeing how that super manner friend of yours is doing in soloQ.

Yeah, I enjoy reading the rage. It's hilarious to me.

You can. Click on the eye icon in the lower left corner of the interface and enable chat.

Only shows all chat and items bought/if someone goes legendary or gets a triple kill. Doesn't show any "ally chat."

wait, those cheats are allowed? If that is true i might have to stop playing.

So. My brother is like ~ 16 and he didn't know about the /all chat being disabled. But as I watched what he was doing, I realized (remembered) that /all is not the problem. People don't care about being trash talked or BM'd by the other team, the real problem is when your own team starts to QQ hard when things go poorly.
Ex: This terrible Kass was just dying over and over to a morgana in midlane, and his own team was just relentless. Sure, he was terrible, no doubt, but it wasn't the Morgana going ^.^ after her 5th kill of him that was bad, it was his team raging and afking.

Couldn't find an Urgot thread so I'm gonna post this here.
So I bought Urgot and I've been trying him out in normals (2k elo in ranked, see a lot of good players in normals too tho). He seems ridiculous early game with his lock-on acid hunter spam to zone out his opponents (I really like Soraka so I can go 9 in defense and still spam spells). He's then good mid game at catching people and being tanky in team fights. Then it gets to the point when it's late game and I have a brutalizer, frozen heart, merc treads, GA and a couple dorans... and I do NO damage. Our team stays alive for a long time but eventually lose if we can't focus their AD carry down quickly.
Are there any alternate builds to this one so I can be more of a presence late game but still be tanky enough to swap in the middle of their team? I was thinking maybe going BT after glacial or after I finish FH. Also, what's Urgot's ideal 6 item build late game? I've been doing Mercs/FrozenHeart/GA/Maw/BT/LW (sell brutalizer to get LW) but without any attack speed my autos aren't very effective. So much Q spam in between auto attacks though I guess attack speed doesn't make much sense for him. Is there another core item I should be getting over any of those six? Maybe sell mercs and get PD?
|
I always report the asshole on my team who is telling the other team to report x for y, or telling the guy to uninstall. I mean why not give the kid advice instead of saying stuff like "team too heavy" in all chat.
Edit: Urgot does pretty good when you get an early BT, Triforce is pretty good as you shouldn't have problems keeping sheen procs going, phages slow isn't as good on him as it is some one like ez or corki becasue of his built in slow but the added health is and the movement speed from zeal is useful for kiting/chasing with acid hunter lock-ons as well. Personally I like manamune because of the synergy with fh/bv, but people say its out classed.

Nope. On NA only explorer and frosted Ez are available.
In other words. NO PULSEFIRE EZREAL

Sometimes you do, you spam the "be careful please", "we need you here", "play safer top, mid got his blue so jungler near", you buy wards for them, you buy oracles for them, and they still ignore you and fuck up. Well, the heaviest thing in those cases is my sigh, but I often end up reporting people for lack of communication when they tend to go rambo or get caught in their jungle 1v5 on top of ignoring us.
Also, Urgot is some kind of a hybrid bruiser and AD caster. That's why you'd max cdr on him if you can (or close, I believe I've seen discussions here stating 34-35% is enough?) and spam Q + abuse his passive (-15% damage is so good lategame) to neutralize their sources of damage.
